Theres a hole in the top of the wedge on the gadwall call are you supposed to cover it or not? Cause if its coverered then it makes the whistle louder. But if not its more of a grunt
Alan, you would never hunt solo again if you got your self a labrador retriever. I have had Labs all my life and it’s great. I used to go hunting for myself, now I go more for the dog than me. They are great with the family also. Greatly enjoyed you videos.
I’m going to get a dog one day, I really don’t feel like I have the time that I would want to spend with a dog right now, I don’t want to get it to just keep it in a kennel. Between work, 3 kids involved in athletics it wouldn’t be fair to the dog.
My area for ducks has been destroyed and had to take a rest that started 3 seasons ago from when I started back in 86. Paying attention more to breeding surveys, now can understand why such a lack of fowl in the air these days. Duck populations are just being crushed atm.
Sorry.I been hunting ducks and geese for 59 years and have hunted over every kind of drcoy at one time or another. I can't use decoys that have alert heads.
@BlackBeltWaterfowl yea only thing onx has that I use is the leaf off feature but I've only been able to figure out how to use it once and I can't remember how I did it
@wholeass83 it’s simple, but in the bottom right corner where you choose your map setting from satellite image, or hybrid, or Topo touch it like your going to change it and it’s at the bottom of that selection page
What shotgun was your son using my son is 10 about the same size as your son he’s using his older sister’s first shotgun for turkey hunting when she liked turkey hunting with me now she 13 and done with hunting the single shot 20ga Rossi the old school one what I been letting him use been looking for a 20ga simi for him any suggestion?
He’s shooting a 20 ga Franchi Affinity 3 youth. Which is the same thing me and my oldest son shoot as well. I like it because it’s a grow with me gun the only thing that makes it a youth gun is the butt stock. Which as he gets older and bigger can be changed out without having to buy another gun, unless he wants to move up to a 12ga
I can't express his point about the ducks seeing you don't be afraid to put a roof on your blind even 1 extra roll of camo net goes a long way of making you look not human...every body thinks blinds are to make you look like a stump or brush pile but in reality it's to make you look less human
I just bought my blind like your. I asked tidwe if they had a snow cover that would fit. They said they didn’t know of one. Well let it be known. I found one the fits it perfectly. I put it right over my reconstructive power hunter cover from Avery in winter wheat. And it had plenty of room to go over it and fit awesome. So fyi those who have this blind there is a snow cover. And it very very well made. No cheap around $100. From Sportman wherhouse. Here it is the Legend Snow Cover by ALPS out Doors. It weighs 7#8oz.
Thanks for watching! If you order anything else off the website be sure to use discount code BBW18 for a site wide discount, and if you or anyone else wants the new front zip waders I have a espy discount code for them it’s BBW100 but that’s just for those front zip waders only BBW18 can be used for anything on the website
Agreed, but a water hose is more volume of water at one time… no need for negativity.. however it’s does show that the jacket is water resistant… which it is.. and unless it’s a “rain jacket” or a GoreTex product nothing will be water proof… a lot of waterfowl jackets are advertised as “waterproof” when in fact they are only water resistant.. just as this one.. the test shows it’s water resistant capabilities. Thanks for watching.
I’ve hunted the upper delta my whole life for woodies but I’m planning on trying the open water for divers. Any tips on where to setup around that area?
Not really, just pick a point and set up on it, unless you have a boat blind, you can set up out in the middle and do well that way just make a big raft of decoys
