C'est toujours agréable d'écouter cette musique traditionnelle entraînante et mélodieuse issue d'instruments entre des bonnes mains qui savent en tirer le maximum. Bravo.!
When I heard Earl Scruggs playing Flint Hill Special it inspired me to take up the 5 string banjo. Over 40 years later, i have no regrets. Thanks to God and Earl.
Late 50’s or early 60’s kckn d j would play liberty dance & at the end he would say match in the gas tank bo boom. Because of the licks she played at the end
To aviatycourt. The only time Earl sang any lines by himself was on the Beverly Hillbillies Pearl Pearl come and be my girl. Don’t you marry Lester Flatt. He slicks his hair with possum fat.
These are 10 different music genres, not styles? There are only two styles of banjo, frailing and fingerstyle; which some may errantly characterize as clawhammer and bluegrass style, respectively......both of which are marketing terms originally created by the commercial music industry.
I always enjoy T Tommy when he says "Goooodness gracious, it's good!" Why does there have to be a stinking obnoxious commercial to interrupt that part EVERY time?😡 (Well, almost every time.)
This is simply great music played by three unique masters. It is great music because of the depth of expression--joy, sadness, energy , humor---well I could go on blabbing about this performance forever!

I was born in 1944 it's been a long time ago but I can still hear the radio and hear mama and daddy picking and singing , I wish I could go back I miss those old days .

Never knew about them having had a TV show. Just been listening to the CDs. Great stuff. edit: Wait a minute, I wonder if the bluegrass group "Hot Rize" named themselves after that Martha White product due to having watched this when they were kids.
Its 12:01am Thursday April24,2024 sure been good listening to this fine show of Flatt and Scruggs, from about 65 years ago irecon, more or less.I'd like to time travel back and be about 33 years old.
You'd be living in better times and a better country; more wholesome and good times, for sure. Back when men were men and women were women, and everybody knew it. Was everything perfect? Of course not. But that won't happen till this old world is done away with and we're living on the new Earth.
I have always loved to hear this Group I have listen to them since I was a kid I'm so glad they have them here on RU-vid. 74 years old and still get to hear them
I have listened to this video so many times and it remains the best performance of Bluegrass music by Masters, ever!! I was born to love Bluegrass music even though I was born in South Africa. God bless the Late Earl and Doc as well as Ricky for doing this. You get a Bluegrass history lesson as well. Magnificent!
