Fun and informative chat! It occurs to me how odd it is to refer both to Ravel's quartet and Sarah's new piece under the umbrella of "modern" music when they were written 120 years apart. That's a huge time span in the history of music. It's almost the interval between the death of J.S. Bach and "Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune" - think of the changes in music over that period.
