Hey guys, it’s Elina, your friendly nuclear physicist 👩🏽🔬 ☢️ Nuclear physics shouldn't have to be all doom and gloom. My job is to make it understandable, fun and exciting!
On my channel, I dive into three interesting categories EXPLAINS, DEBUNKS and REACTS. There I create content explaining nuclear physics facts, debunking myths around the nuclear industry and reacting to movies, series, cartoons and videos related to nuclear physics.
Welcome aboard this fun and informative adventure!
The key thing for driving down nuclear costs is to not build unicorns. Large, standardized reactors produced en masse over a short period of 20 years or so will be much cheaper.
Maybe you should watch the entire video before doing your commentary. I mean, you seem to criticize Cleo about the ‘green goop’ comment, while all of us know she’s referring to all the comedy and tv fiction nuclear waste depictions we’ve seen for years. You also explain the shortening of the waste’s half-life through the its reuse… while she does a pretty good job of it later in her vid. Also, you should explain for us why your shirt says ‘nucular’… I know it’s a joke, but I’d like to hear more…. Be well!
he problem with diagnosing thorium as a problem is all the corruption of original nuclear data and "what reason would they be against perfectly clean unlimited energy?" that is the real question is their competing interest, Japan is doubling down as I have made startling observations, cancer scares and propaganda that's all there really is about nuclear power and the pricing system has purposely corrupted, the Simpsons all medias related to the subject is corrupt, should I say the land of chyrnoble has 3 or 4 other reactors functioning in a war zone as we speak, MOST of it if not all is a lie, basically energy could be free right now and that's the problem, no other source is gonna last mechanically.
Vaultec dropped the bombs itself so they doesn’t lose the money they spend building the Vaults. They actually build the Vaults for their experiments and you missed every weapon in the Vault except the Gun but very cool
That Sabine mentioned that nuclear power is seen as dangerous (radiation kills people and accidents happen) and that scares people is the only thing you as a specialist took issue with, only goes to reinforce my admiration for her.
I'm personally pro-nuclear. But, there is something that i always find sketchy when i we speak about accidents and safety. We compare human death count. But it should be life death count. When a plane crash, it kills the people, it might kill a few trees, and some animals, or create a fire in the worst case. While nuclear kills almost all kind of life, not just human . That makes all safety comparison with other industries invalid, isn't it? Risk assessment should include all loss of life, and do the comparison based on that, in order to aboid fallacies.
I've seen an example of that graphite in kreosan English channel when they enter an abandoned laboratory in pripyat full of radioactive soil and equipment.
I mean … she is still new. So here is a tip - read everything you see especially what’s on the computers. VATS is L1 so make use of it when encountering enemies. Even though this video is 8 months old, I think she already knows how to play the game haha.
Does Gen4 and Gen5 reactors fall under the NRC? Also are there any regulations that will require future reactors to be built underground instead of above ground like they are now; thus if there is any chance of a major failure we don't have to worry about the reactor blowing up and increasing he radiation in the atmosphere?
I agree, she watched a really good video explaining the situation. Even if someone is not pro nuclear, I think in the interested of getting rid of carbon or at least significantly reducing it, we as the world have to use nuclear and renewables, and obviously also save electricity consumption overall. So the countries who have nuclear, should increase it's use and help others who do not have it to manage it. Or start an international organization who does have the knowledge and make them responsible for building, managing and operating the plants world wide. As in no single country has the jurisdiction to exclusively operate a plant. nor have control over said territory.
In South Dakota they burned uranium coal to ashes for making nuclear weapons and gassed out many local homesteaders and the Hunkpapa drank nuclear waste and rare earth elements…Greenpeace is just a tax dive for the electric vehicle market
