Another reason not to leave San Stefanos 😩

It’s a lovely place for a walk and even into the centre of the island

When I worked here on the island 2002 we had JMC (Thomas Cook) UK guests there and it was known as Corfu Asteria

According to internet chat it was a German owned hotel which went bankrupt in 2006/2007. Left with all furniture and even a stocked bar

The old building was a mill used to produce olive oil. Corfu has over 4 million olive trees, it was and still is a big producer, and it happens to be very good.

I won’t be able to do this, my knee is shot and I’m going to need a mobility scooter 😩😩😩

The bar behind the green car/van pick up is called Dino's and Maria's which is opposite the local doctor's. The bar on your right which was closed is Landos. Just by the Post Office is Christie's Patisserie - freshly made cakes to order and will deliver over to resort. Most places close between 13.30 - 16.30 being Siesta Time. Oh yes and the butcher's is a lovely man called Yannis.

Thank you - that walk is very steep - we remember doing it a few times back in the days when Eriannas was just a shed selling fantastic fresh orange - San Stefanos is such a special place.
