During my first trip in the summer of 2012, I stood on a SUP board for the first time - although still a bit shaky. But I was quickly seized by ambition and my passion was inflamed.
Four years later I started stand-up-paddling.org, a blog where I write about SUP spots, the equipment and current topics.
Here I publish SUP board tests, SUP tours and various tips for beginners in Stand Up Paddling.
Awesome video. I'm thinking about buying Itiwit 500 10" / 3" 140L. I want to try surfing with it but where I live we don't get medium waves often. When there are no waves can I easily paddle and have fun? I'm around 70 kg.
You failed to mention Aquamarina Fusion too can be converted into a kayak. Overlooking such a evident and important characteristic makes your video lose credibility.
Hey Erik, thanks for your comment. We're based out of Germany / Netherlands so that's not easy for us to do. Also, producing in person is much more expensive as we're more dependent on weather / noise etc. We used to do this in the beginning, but really, really hard to organize it.
Bought the Carbon !0'8 and the Junior. While the Junior has been fine for my 7 year old son I have had nothing but problems from day one with mine. For one the bag was way too small and impossible to get everything back in and in my effort the fin connection broke the first time trying to get back in the bag and the bag ripped (should have sent back right then)but decided to repair myself. Did not even try and use again until this summer and when I inflated there was a hole on the top of board through the padding. Emailed the company about my issues from the beginning and was informed that I could send back at my own expense $300. And they sent me a shipping comparison link for the UK really not helpful for the US. I did end up sending it from Georgia to California only for it not to be received(should have thrown in trash because that"s what it is). I did a lot of research for a nice board to ride with my family but made a $1,000 mistake don't do the same. My wife has had her board 5 years that cost $280 with zero issues.
We bought two of them a week ago and we had great fun on our vacation! Both my wife and me were new to SUP but it was really due to their stability. I don’t have anything to compare it with but the impression was perfect. I expected to be falling off all day but to my surprise, we both fell ogg only once in 5 days. Very happy with their purchase!!!
Excellent board for the begginers. You really do not need anything more. Great quality, full equipment included not like for many other SUPs where the pump is missing and during the season you cannot buy it as it's out of stock. I'm swimming with 2023 version in Greece and really enjoying it. For the price it's excellent.
Excellent review. Just bought one in the UK for £199.99. And of course there’s a warranty. 12 months minimum plus up to 6 years under the Sales of Goods Act. The retailer is responsible for honouring that even though some will TRY to say your contract is with the manufacturer.
