Try to lead zombies to a house, then leave undetected out the back, and keep their line of sight blocked. The only issue after that is running into more
you cant sleep in the bed because you choose the perk claustophobic and a signal of that are the heartbeats when you come inside a building, this game is very fun when you know how to play correctly, and kill zombies become easy , and you lvl up your stats doing that, dont choose bad perks and the game is more easy and fun, if you dont understand something its because i dont speak much english
LOL... I remember my first PZ game. Very similar to your video... omg, for myself, no map or at least all i was using was the maps you find in gas stations. I ran into the woods and was completely lost in the thick of the timber for hours, not even a pathway, let alone a road, trees and trees... At night as well, and the sounds you hear freak you out. Another time I was in a car loaded with collections, speeding through the darkness with broken headlights as I was bitten, out of bandages and my disinfectant was at home base. It was a race against time and the vehicle could not take another hit in the front end and it was stalling often. I tried to avoid some zombies in the road ahead and totaled my car into a tree. Forced to abandon my car and all my goods, try to return home on foot, wounded, hungry and weaponless.. Then it started to rain. Listen to the rain closely and what do you hear?
Good Video Hardest game ever. I do not use MODS. The word "MODS " is another way of saying "CHEATS" I can not last more than ten minutes in normal apocalypse mode, so I do not feel bad using Sandbox mode, yet to be fare I do not edit the Zomboids just when water and power shuts off and access to vehicles, way too hard otherwise. Pretty addictive and frightening game.
Don’t walk through zombies dude, push them away. These feckers bite. I’m suprised you lasted so long yo7 got chewed on like a bone at a dog pound. If you’ve been chewed on and get the green face moodle you’re dead. Burglar profession gives you ability to Hotwire cars, cars are life.
Don’t. Run, you’ll just get exhausted. You can out walk zombies. Use the looking glass to forage for items like stones branches to make basic tools. Watch T V at 6 am 12 noon and 6 pm life and living channel. Stay out the woods 😂😂 you need a screwdriver, hammer and saw. Basic tools which will help you do most shit. Learn about traits from the wiki. Good vs negative. Pick a good starter occupation. You can drink from rivers or lakes with your hands don’t put the water in a container and drink it tho. God help you lol.
You should absolutely play a multiplayer game with Private Lime. He's really good and hilarious. And he can show you all the ropes. Until you die screaming. =D
Honestly for a 1st run this was really good; you learned quickly and lasted quite awhile! And yes, the sledgehammer is junk as a weapon BUT as a tool it's god-tier; it can be used to demolish any wall or tile, making it great for breaking into places / securing a 2nd-floor base. Hope to see more Zomboid vids from you!
So I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but to answer your question about the heartbeat sound. It's because your character was panicking that it started playing the heartbeat sound.
Study the zones of damage on zombies. When you have your character stomping their chest, it takes a long time, a lot of stomping, to kill the zombie. Stand closer to the head and stomp it in!
You were dead from the moment you had been bitten around like the 20 to 30 minute mark but anytime you attack a zombie all the negative moodles effecting your combat abilities shake so stuff like being injuried on your arms or hands, being in pain, tired, hungry or thirsty all cripple you in combat even dropping your damage with said injuries regardless of melee or ranged fighting
So many questions, so little cursory glances at the controls settings or a two second look at the wiki. And forgetting you consciously chose the 'claustrophobic' trait. XD Great video! It's a game with so much depth, but creates that survivor feel so well! It's great seeing someone play it that hasn't mastered the mechanics and already knows exactly how to optimise everything. Fresh eyes add so much to these games, they lose a lot when they're too 'solved'.
As a long-time player, I'm actually genuinely impressed by how long you survived your first time. That was very good! Obviously, lots of noob mistakes, and obviously, you were infected and were going to die either way... but you clearly have some innate ability to play the game, probably from other games you've played. I'm just really curious how the hell you have 10k subs and 10k views on your *one* video on your channel? I bet you had others and just deleted them :P
You did really well surviving as long as you did. I thought you were a goner like 5 times lol. My advice would be don't fight zombies when they are above you on the screen. Ideally you'd fight with them to your left or right. That way you can better see the spacing. Good luck sir!
Pickaxe is literally one of the best melee weapons in the game. Far superior to the Sledge Hammer. Sledge is too heavy and slow, and well exhaust you quickly for obvious reasons. Crowbars, Baseball Bats, and Shovels are also amazing weapons. Machete and Katana broken OP though but far far rarer than the rest.
I have been watching people play this game for a few months now but I was afraid to give it a go. After watching you play I think I'm going to give it a try on my next day off.
~5k hours in, I see this advice so much and I hate it. You almost never "have to" run, except maybe when going up stairs or entering rooms. You can outwalk zombies, and you will regain energy while walking as long as you are not too far into the first tier of exhaustion or carrying too much.
as a new player, pz has been very fun to experience and learn, and watch others try out. you honestly did very good for a first run. im 40h in and my best run has lasted 12 days heh. that being said, it's a very hard game and can be pretty vague on many things, so i do very highly recommend a few little qol mods that helped me understand some things so much better. 'more descriptions for traits' and 'clear descriptions for moodlets' have been so, so helpful because honestly they are extremely vague in game. 'pillow's random spawns' is very lovely cause the vanilla game seems to only have very limited spawns and well, as a new player i barely travel before dying. there are actually a few more that just add little extras or do a bit more qol that i quite like, but those three are honestly what i'd recommend to any new player. they change only tiny things but have made my games a lot more fun as a tiny additional tip, the 'life and living' channel on tv is pretty cool if you can catch a show :3 (oh, right, two other free tips: use the space bar to your advantage when fighting, especially with lone zombies when they are on the ground. and when crouching, if you press 'q', your character will whisper instead of shouting)
oh, before i forget. i had to look this one up for myself so im passing it on. if a wound says infected, it's just a basic infection. if you are infected by the zombie virus specifically, there are only two ways to tell: either you have a bite (a bite is always a death sentence), or you start getting moodlets that seem odd for your character to get and they happen more and more
