Hey, Hi, Hello creatives! My name is Lindsey, on my channel you will find all things creative and journaling. I am currently on maternity leave just sharing all of my memory keeping, creative journaling, and collage art spreads with you. I created this channel to keep me accountable to ensure I actually make some time for this hobby. I also hope this keeps a fire under my butt to ensure I follow through with memory keeping of my son.
I’m: obsessed with stationery addicted to memory keeping beginner at journaling crazy sentimental bracelet making hobbyist an admirer of organization a new momma & just out here doing my best 🤙🏼
Really pretty spreads for all books, love the metallic pens also they look so shiny and pretty! I actually just bought the first Bridge Kingdom book a couple of months ago (did a little book haul while on holiday) so excited to hear how much you liked them, gets me excited to read it soon 🥰
they are great metallic pens! they look great on dark paper which was what i was hoping when i bought them :) i really enjoyed them! great plot and still lots of romance too. i listened to the audiobook and found it hard to not be able to go back and read which place/kingdom did what, but overall i was able to catch on and follow the details. but i am still new to the fantasy-ish genre ☺️ ✨
Yes! Slow reader here as well. I have the same issue with reading paragraphs and then having no clue what I just read, then needing to re-read them multiple times before it clicks. So I can go months before finishing a book. Reading out loud usually helps me focus better. I tried an audio book once for my book club (it is just my friend group and mainly an excuse to hang out once a month, so I don't feel pressured that I rarely finish the book), but that was a struggle as well. I've thought about trying to listen to the audio book as I read along, but haven't committed. Kind of like creating a reading journal. I love the idea of it, I love watching videos of people creating layouts, etc. But I've never committed because it didn't feel worth it with how I read. Very happy to have found your channel!
what helps me with reading and actually focusing on what i am reading, is to kind of lip read? LOL so my mouth moves with what i am reading but i am not reading out loud. listening to the audio book and reading along would probably help your focus and get better over time! make one! i was the same and thought that i didnt read enough to make one. but even if i finished one book a year, i would just have a reading journal that would last me years and that is perfectly ok ☺️ happy to have you here, i have another reading journal video coming out soon! ☺️ ✨
Wow so many journals!!! Just found your channel. Lovely flips. I told myself i need to take inventory of all my notebooks and inserts and use more of them. Instead of buying a bunch of dated planners for 2025 i need to use my stash. Thanks for sharing and giving me some inspo!! 🫶
it is hard using my stash because i want my journals to match better, but then i realize that it really doesnt matter as long as they are functional for me ☺️ I am also way more intentional with buying new notebooks now, instead of just randomly buying a pretty notebook. which is hard sometimes 😏 LOL glad i have inspired you to use your stash too! thanks for watching ☺️ ✨
You are definitely not alone in starting house projects and leaving them in their "done enough" phase before they're "done done" - I am notorious for this !
@@Sarahwritesletters as soon as it is pretty enough and liveable in it, I move to the next project or just leave it as is LOL Generally the reason is because the season has changed. We did our master bedroom in the winter and then spring came around and we started working on outdoor projects when the bedroom got to be good enough LOL 😊✨
@@teacherlovesbeauty it is so big!!! I am so grateful to live so close to it. And love taking the kiddos there even if it is only for an hour to see one section each visit. Thanks for watching 🫶🏼🫶🏼☺️✨
Ohh I love it!! That‘s something I really always wanting to start but people always were judging what I always kept in sake of that! This encouraged me to start doing it!
Ahhhh so cool you’re from the GTA too! I’m out in the east end too! Your ZOO journal is so neat!!! Love your different types of notebooks you’ve given be a few ideas like the national parks one
Yay! I love seeing that I have a lot of subscribers in Ontario. I am about an hour east of Toronto. Thank you! My zoo journal is honestly one of my favourites. I am happy I decided to go back to 2020 and document those years too. I just finished 3 more pages in it last night! ☺️ Yay! Do a national park one! It will be so fun to look back on once you have a few park entries in it. I need to create a little checklist of the national and Ontario provincial parks that I will probably do in Canva! Thanks for watching 😊✨🫶🏼
Thank you for watching! 🫶🏼☺️ I am definitely going to do a media journal! I have already started a Pinterest board of some photos for movies/tv shows and just need to print them out ☺️✨
Hi, i like your journals, i was wondering if you know about the national parks having a stamp program. You can get a stamp for each park you visit at the visitor center or Rangers station. It could be a cute add-on for your journal! Have fun and be safe on your travels!
Thank you so much!! I didn’t know the national parks have a stamp program, that is really great to know - thank you! I will definitely add that in my journal. I did pick up the $15 provincial park passport. I have already got two stickers for it that I have to put in it 😁☺️ Thank you for watching!! ✨🫶🏼☺️
I appreciate your honesty about budgeting--I can relate to knowing you need to make changes, but that changes are not quite happening how we want them to.
It’s so difficult to make that shift of something you have been used to doing! We are all human and sometimes we can’t be as disciplined as we wish to be. I have accepted it is a marathon to improve on my budgeting not a sprint 😊✨
Every single one of these journals is amazing! I continue to be SO impressed with your level of organization and attention to detail. Look at the VIEWS on this video. You deserve every single on and more !!!
I totally get what you mean about not being able to multitask with audiobooks! Except I'm the opposite with journaling, when I'm making a collage is one of the only times I can focus on an audiobook haha I do need to pause them if I'm writing something down but just pictures somehow I can focus on it. I can't listen to audiobooks while doing anything else though, like chores and audiobook my mind just wanders and I miss everything. I'm always so impressed with people who can have them on all the time and actually catch the story cuz that's just not how my brain works 😂 Anyways, gorgeous collages there I love how both of them look 😍
it is so cool to see how evveryone is so different and similar too! i almost narrate in my head what i am doing with a collage and since these collages are about books it was a no go for me to listen to a different book LOL I was able to cut the grass on our tractor and listen to an audiobook - so maybe one day i will be able to multiask LOL thank you for watching 🥰 ✨
Thank you!! I am so obsessed with how it turned out - as you know I mentioned it a lot. But I am very surprised with how much I am enjoying using scrapbook paper for my themes ☺️✨
I love this so much! I had my son two months ago and I’m starting my list of pages I want to create in the journal I’m starting for him. Yours is so elaborate and detailed and just absolutely beautiful! It’s inspired me to do mine a little more intricate than I initially was thinking, but it’s absolutely worth it. I can’t wait to flip through it with my son one day and for him to keep as his keepsake. Thank you for taking the time to share this gem. ♥️
thank you for watching!!! I have yet to start my daughters and she is already 7.5 months LOL But i have started to plan out a few pages. I put so much time and research into this journal to make sure i included everything i wanted to. I still have some catching up to do in this journal but it is slowly coming along. I also cannot wait to see it all filled up and flip through it. I am so happy I am able to have basically the first 10 years summarized in a journal for both of my kids! It brings me so much joy. add in as many details as you can because it is the little things we don't remember unless we write them down. and when we do get a reminder of the little things, it is the best! ☺️ ✨
I never thought I would find someone who reads like I do. I have to re-read sentences all the time and I am a very slow reader I feel embarrassed. I am actually a literature girlie. I majored in it and LOVE it, but dont fall into the group with everyone else reading hundreds and listening to audiobooks at 2 times speed. I want so badly to create a reading journal but feel like it would a waste. I used to scrapbook with Creative Memories years ago and this feels like a way to do it again. I have had years where I have only read 2 books in the entire year. But I LOVED them. I also have a hard time finishing a book I can tell I dont like. It feels like a waste of my limited brain space. I could talk about this for hours. I am so glad I found you though! Thank you for shining a light on those of us that are in the reading community but might not be like all of the others.
i am SO HAPPY that you have found some comfort and a little bit of inspiration from my videos! you absolutely can create and keep a reading journal as a slow reader! with completing 2 books in a year, it just means that you will have a couple years of reading in one journal. How great is that, when you look back in one journal you can see 3-5 years of reading summarize for you! I say DO IT. also with reading 2 books in a year it makes finding a book of the year so much easier 😏😜 I have been very good at picking books and haven't really started any i didnt like. i am also VERY easy to please. i have a few unpopular opinions when it comes to reading. one being, i don't care if the writing is bad, if i like your books and vibes it gives out, i like your book :) I could also talk about this for hours LOL. So happy you found my channel and can relate! ☺️ ✨
Harry Potter is my go to series, i just dont recommend the cursed child screenplay book. I was ready to throw that book in the trash. Lord of the rings was a good read. I prefer the movies over the books (which i never say) but the books are still great. Dan Brown is a fantastic author as well. The Robert Langdon series with Angels & demons, da vinci code, lost symbol, inferno, and origin is a favorite of mine as well.
thank you for all of these great recs!! I am reading the harry potter series right now, on book 3 and loving it! i ahve watched all of the LOTR movies, but i dont think i could commit to the books. the movies are SO LONG but they were great. ☺️✨
I'm also in camp trying to use the stuff I own and read the books I own right now, I love collecting but I do have all this stuff cuz I want to use it haha definitely a great goal and beautiful setup with all those stickers!
it is a great feeling to use your own stash and have a bunch of empty sticker sheets at the end of a setup or journaling session! I am actually doing pretty good at using my stash. i am also trying to use older ephemera and stickers that i have had for so long. it allows for such free journaling sessions with no pressure to just use stickers and stuff i wouldnt normally reach for first and that just feeds the motivation to keep going 😃 ✨ good luck with trying to use your stash too!!
I also don't usually rate under 3 stars unless it did something offensive. If I am not enjoying it then I am much more likely to DNF it. I don't usually pick up books I don't think I will like.
exactly! there are so many reviews and people to follow that you can get familiar with to know if you will like their recommendations or not. I am very good at picking books i know i will like 😊
Let that personality shine my friend! The internet is LUCKY to hear you chat away for this long, while putting together something you're passionate about. Could listen/ chat about books forever! Excited for our future reads ♥
eeekk love that you are along for the ride 💜 we have so many books to yet talk about and so many books we dont even know we will talk about, cannot wait 📚 💜 ✨
