Ed-in-bu-ruh. It's Granton not Newhaven although there is an unused lighthouse along there too. I think the nearest working one is on Inchmickery but I could be wrong. Cool wee vid :)

I rode from Richmond, VA all the way to Brooklyn, NY and was told by the police that’s inside the gated community that outsiders can’t go in. Wish I would have known this before hand.
That video is of the Craighill Channel Lower Range Rear Light. It works in concert with the Craighill Channel Lower Range Front Lighthouse which is shorter and located between the Rear Lighthouse and the Craighill Channel. Ships coming up the Craighill Channel line the Rear Light over the top of the front light in order to tell whether they are on course within the confines of the channel. Both the front range and the rear range lighthouses are located over a shallow area and so only are used by lining the rear light above the front light. Both lights are historically significant, but the Front Range Lighthouse was a real leading edge design for its day and is only the second Caisson style lighthouse constructed in the United States. The first was in Boston Harbor. It is not clear why the video caption suggests that the Rear Range Lighthouse was somehow involved in a shipwreck. The only references that i could find to the Channel Lights involvement in a shipwreck was that the lighthouse keepers were given an award for spotting a boat sinking and rescuing the people onboard.
The Absecon Lighthouse was build under the direction of Lt. George Gordon Meade. The same George Meade who would later lead the Army of the Potomac at Gettysburg.

From what I've read, the first Robbins Reef lighthouse was built by a cousin of mine Daniel Haselton of the firm "Haselton & Palmer" of New Hampshire. They also built the first lighthouse on Whaleback Island off Kittery, Maine.
