This man is a gift to hockey. The pranks, the class, the competitive spirit are all the reasons why hockey is beautiful. I hope the Pens hang your number from the rafters. We are very happy to have adopted you as a Wild MAF.
Saw Pat play as a young guy in the AHL. (Hershey Bears Season Ticket Holder here with seats right beside the visitor's tunnel/behind the visitor's bench. Phantoms were our biggest rivals along with the baby Pens ) Think he pretty much got the shaft from the Flyers organization. Even as a young guy, he was so much more than a pair of fists. Always thought he was a much better player than he ever got credit for. Was glad for him having so much success in St. Louis and Tampa -- winning 3 cups. He's that kinda guy you just wish would be on your team someday. Not sure how I missed this video earlier this season, but since MN didn't make the playoffs, he was able to get a trade to Boston to continue playing in the post season. Yay! He wasn't able to play right away, as he had just had black surgery. Even though Boston just lost the 2nd round series to Florida & I wish the Bs would've gone farther, I'm grateful I got to cheer for him in the spoked B. Not sure what the future holds for Patty, but I wish him (and his family) all the best.
Sammy is the real deal. I had homeroom with him in 9th grade and there was a group of 4 or 5 of us that would sit together. He's funny, genuine, and kind. Not a bad thing to say about him.
Brodin and Spurgeon have contracts that hurt a lot. Neither have ever had the offensive year Faber had, yet they have big contracts. It's holding the Wild back from acquiring talent. Once Faber's extension gets done in the summer, the Wild will be 1 of only 2 teams (STL) that have 3 defenseman making over 6M a year, and the problem is, Brodin and Spurgeon don't play at the level of their contracts.
Middleton is another guy who is weak defensively, doesn't clear out his man, is a tough guy, but isn't tough to play against, and he's weak with the puck.
Spurgeon is small, and plays small. He isn't any different than the rest of the Wild PK guys, he doesn't pick up his man in front of the net. Wild have a tiny roster and most are easy to push around.
the roster is most definitely mentally fragile. they fell apart over the dumbest things. Johansson is mentally fragile. Foligno is mentally fragile. Gustavsson admitted to being mentally fragile. Hartman is mentally fragile. Gaudreau is mentally fragile.
Guerin doesn't know what he's doing. His drafts have been weak. His trades have been terrible. He keeps handing out terrible contract after terrible contract. And Leipold has made it clear he is just in it for the money. SO the fans end up being left high and dry. No good hockey to watch.
Putting a bow on it eh??? What's the saying again...Lipstick on a pig....It's still a pig...Billy G and his "we're not here to have fun....we're here to win speech a thousand beers ago...great winning Billy...
As a Swedish Wild fan who'd never been to an NHL game, i loved the NHL global series! Thanks for taking part and hope to see more Wild in europe. I thought the team played well considering the period leading up to it. My travel plans were messed up so i didn't get to visit the experience event in the park but from all the videos, seemed like people were enjoying themselves. Atmosphere around the Globe was great. Met my first Americans (Wild fans too) to and they were super fun during the game but some of the loudest people i've ever met lol.
What a Joke Guerin is praising both Jojo and Freddy this year. Come on Dude pull your head out of your rear end they both were absolutely AWFUL if he runs these Clowns back out there again and expects different results then the FAILURE is on the OWNER for letting the GM and Coach be incompetent to the Nth Degree. Everyone w eyes could see these two players were USELESS. 😂😂😂😂
Hynes came to the team with a career record of 284-255-63. Thats just a few more wins than losses. That was not an impressive stat. In fact looking at his stats, he's Pretty Dam Mediocre and we got exactly that kind of season. It was not good enough. Hynes is no playoff contender. Oh how I wish you would prove me wrong. Bill Guerin had some miracles in his pockets, but that seems to have dried up this year too. The bottom line is the Wild were terrible this year. You'll spin it any way you want. "We faced adversity" "Tough season," "Injuries". The wild indeed had all of this in their way this year. This is going to happen when your performance is in the toilet. This team can play hockey and weve seen that but they need better support at the top.
Ordinary Americans are very nice people: simple, open, good-natured. In this regard, Americans are similar to Russians. Unfortunately, America is ruled by huge amounts of money. As Karl Marx said: "There is no crime that a capitalist would not commit for 200% of the profit." (I am neither a Marxist nor a communist.) America is committing monstrous crimes all over the world. America is trying to destroy Russia by the hands of Ukrainians. The result of this will be the destruction of Ukraine and another disgrace to the United States. That's the way it is, American brothers!
Former Wild HC Jacques Lemaire continues to be amazing by offering great, sound advice to GM BG. As a fan, I met him many years ago and he was genuinunely cool and professional overall. Truly miss Lemaire and hoping to seeing him around the NHL for any games or events.
👎 no more long term deals for bottom six Billy or start prepping for an exit interview. Is it about winning or is it about a championship. Whats the mission statement
What do Zucci, Jojo, Vinni, Rossi, Gaudreau have in common? Too small and not capable of a sustained on the puck forecheck. Plus, they can't create on there own. Too many like that on the team.
Your judgement on Rossi is misguided Scoring Twenty in your first year is a hell of statement, just think of he had a real winger,to help him, Food for Thought
Ryan, you're not on Bally's for this interview. The Wild's penalty kill has sucked for the past 3 years and Spurgeon was on all of those Spurgeon's better days are gone. The Wild need to COMPLETELY change their penalty kill mentality and structure. No excuse for a horrible penalty kill year after year after year.
JoJo had 43 games with one shot or fewer....he was a mainstay on the 2nd line....those could have been valuable minutes for the younger guys like Beckman! what's the deal with that Billy?!
One thing I love about JoJo is that there are not many players in the NHL that have the speed and puck skills to take the puck from zone to zone nearly every time he's asked. He has rarely been the solid point producer year to year that it seems he should be capable of, that is the truth. I could be wrong, but I believe the reason he stays in the lineup , when healthy, is intangible skills he possesses that are just hard to find. He is a complimentary player, and it's sometimes difficult to see the value in a player in that role.
@@griffshark ok I will buy that. He can carry into the zone very effectively, that's the first half of the tape. The other half is how laughably easy it is to knock him off the puck once he's in the zone. It's beyond gross. But at the end of the day, it's done...and he has a contract year next year. watch him put up 65 points lol.
