Oh man, I'm sorry y'all are having to go through this. I imagine it has been absolute terror. I will keep prayers going up for Mrs. Cindy and you too Scott. ❤with love from Summer in North Georgia!!
There's probably THOUSANDS of roads like this, all over the World....with no issues.....this place simply attracts idiots. It's also a recipe for disaster because you have Tons of cars and trucks driving threw....they can drip oil, leave dirt and rocks on the road....which simply makes Too many variables to control. You could drive the speed limit and STILL wipe out and crash, it's just simple math and odds. I would personally Not ride this road, slow or fast....it's only a matter of time before you catch a slide out.
No....unskilled operators are the problem. There's THOUSANDS of roads like this all over the world....and Little to No fatalities....there's nothing special about this road other than stupid people are attracted to it more than others. Speed itself does Not cause accidents, otherwise the Autobahn in Germany would lead the world in fatalities, but there's barely Any all....the Real problem is people Not paying attention and pushing beyond their limits, America has pretty terrible driver and rider training as well. There's just more fatalities in general because of that.
No disrespect but you must have limited experience to find the V-Strom seat uncomfortable, as well as to consider 1600 trouble-free miles any form of achievement. That said , great bike, congrats, enjoy, and for the record, I'm 5.7 and its absolutely no problem. One of the lowest ADVs out there. All the best with your channel.
You can probably get a better midsized adventure bike than a V-Strom 650, but certainly not for anywhere near the same reasonable cost as a V-Strom. And that 645cc 90 degree twin engine is pure magic.
Saw,,Lynyrd skynyrd 3xz, after the bad crash!! Area I was from were huge / texting huge/ skynyrd fans....1st tour after the crash..2wice early 90s They were fantastic every time , I seen em. Thanx for ur video. Pronounced ( Leh- nerd / Skin erd) ..I always pronounced em/ Lynn erd skin erd.. I always though it was amazing, how a band with 3 ( count em) guitarist, made it work so effortlessly without stepping on each other's playing..Fantastic band! Big , ED KING FAN OF!!
my 19 seat is very comfy, I put after market pads front and rear, it stops like my Street Triple. After 65 bikes 63 years of riding I found the V storm 650, it is superb. Plenty of grunt.
He was originally buried at a cemetery in the next county over, where Steve and Cassie Gaines are buried. However Ronnie's grave was broken into and damaged few times. It's been said one attempt was made to actually get into the vault. So the Van Zant family moved his grave here. I never understood why he was buried in the other cemetery as he was born and raised on the Westside of Duval county not very far from where this cemetery is.
@@Ninapatine Only the best for the best! Ronnie is a very honorable person! Not saying you weren't saying he isn't an honorable person it's just I'd like to see his gravesite look just as special if not even more special than the others. He is well deserving of it imo.
There's a story about a motorcyclist who was coming back early evening and slid off the side... nobody knew and he laid there for several days until they found him. He survived amazingly.
There's a RU-vid video a fellow made of himself laying hurt down the embankment saying goodbye to his wife and family. He thought he would die, but someone happened to stop on the side of the road hours later and miraculously heard him calling for help.
I'd like to ride the Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway, but I'll ride them at a reasonable speed, in the middle of the week when the Road Rossi riders aren't racing around endangering themselves and everyone else.
My 1st time on the dragon with a friend, our impressions were this is it?? We found it rather tame compared to many county roads in the Appalachian hills. Dangerous as hell you say? You don't get out much or need more riding experience. The only thing dangerous about the dragon are the idiots behind the handlebars.
Going up from Texas towards Missouri along the Arkansas/ Oklahoma border is a stretch of road that wears me out mentally. I suppose if one were a highly trained and practiced rider it would be a hoot. As an average guy the twists, turns, and elevation changes mentally and physically challenge me more than enough. I don’t need to go further afield
Nice review. They are as reliable as an anvil. 180 000 miles is not uncommon on that motor. They are very popular here in South Africa. Many aftermarket accessory options too.
Tammy was Ronnie's firsrborn daughter. Ronnie's second wife didnt treat her right. she made no mention of Tammy throughout her life, and made sure Tammy didnt get any money from Ronnie.
