CFL greats and once rivals Davis Sanchez and Milt Stegall are now partners on the CFL on TSN panel. But they have way more to talk about! Join Stegall and Sanchez on their podcast to hear CFL, NFL and all types of football discussions!
Bad luck for Strevy! He will definitely be missed. Big question- who will the Bombers get to back up Collarus for the rest of the season? Not sure any of QB's they have now in their stable can cut it. Dolegala and Cornelius have been mentioned. Big guys with reasonable long ball and short yardage abilities. Not sure about Cornelius's physical readiness but Dolegala should be ready to go. Two weeks til the next game will give him reasonable time to get some basics of the playbook, then polish up with the receivers as the year goes on.The bottom line is that we have seen the injuries pile up for QB's in the league this year, Collarus's being one of the most recent. The Bombers need some insurance as they make a realistic run for the playoffs. Good show guys!
Excellent episode! Thanks for giving the Bombers actual attention. They are a cohesive unit with lots of variety in skillsets. And flowers 💐 for Tyrell Ford! 💙💛💪🏾
I feel bad for VA. The same thing happened in Montreal in 2022 when Danny M. went with Trevor Harris the second VA had one small struggle. He was relegated to backup role until bc came calling when Rourke got injured. And now again, he's forced to take the backup role again. He's showed this year that he is starter material but he keeps losing the opportunity.
Great ahow guys. But why is it only on RU-vid? Your podcast feed hasbt had a new episode in 7 months. Can you please upload these there so i can listen on the road? And i agree with Milt. Va can go to Calgary or Hamilton now and make them instantly better.
Great podcast with two of the CFL greatest! More loose commentary than on TSN . As for BC, I know that no one wants to see two QB's switching around in one game, but what if Nathan is struggling in the first half, go with VA in the second. We have seen success with other teams when the starter gets injured, the backup comes in, catches the opposing team off balance to score some points and win the game. You have think that Campbell is considering this scenario carefully. BC cannot afford to lose the next game against the Redblacks , so all the stops have to be pulled out for that game so they can get back on the winning track. Hope to see more of Sanchez and Stegall pods in the future.
Chad Kelly represents the worst unsporting behaviour. His play on the field does not excuse shameful off-field actions. He embarrases me as a CFL fan. If he is allowed to come back, the Zero Tolerance/ No bystander myths will be dead and buried.
Good discussion - I feel Johnny could be a quality starter in the CFL. I don't think he would have been there long term if he played well in the CFL. If he put the work in and been humble and was given an opportunity to sit and learn he would have done well. Him getting traded to MTL and thrown out there as a starter on a bad Als team didn't help. That part is on the CFL.
Great discussion gentlemen. I always thought Manziel purposely sabotaged his CFL commitment in order to play in the AAF. The podcast segment on Manziel talking about the CFL was longer than any mention in his Netflix special he had last year. I hope Manziel goes away so that we never have to talk about him anymore
Lol. Farhan, you need to slow your roll regarding Rourke. Check the Stamps' attendance in 2022... Rourke had no notable impact on ticket sales. You are totally overselling Rourke's value to the CFL.
You have to watch Hard Knocks from a few years ago with the Lions. Dan Skipper; they loved him but had to cut him. They found a way to bring him back and he's still on the field. If Betts is a football player, if he loves the game - they will find a way to keep him and use him. No one gave Skipper a chance but Holmes and Campbell know what they are doing. They got rid of a lot guys that didn't fit and found places for guys that do.
Considering how weak we currently are at the position, i give him a 35% chance to make it. But I still see us picking someone else up before the final cuts are made.
I don’t know if the money holds true THE WHOLE TIME. At some point coaches will give you a chance, at that point it’s up to player. I think of 6 round on practice team James Huston. He kept making hard for. Is he’s not to play him, players were saying this guy needs a chance. He gets his chance and kills it. Before he got hurt he was actually expanding his game to be in coverage and was doing a pretty fair job. So Janes H.IV was making league min, playing ahead of Harris, Romeo and his brother Julian…good coaches are not thinking about $
you guys don't know what your talking about when it comes to Detroit they don't care where your drafted or how much you make if you can play then you'll play
Exactly, I get it was CFL, but he was told practicing with our team, what to change and do, and he did it! If he can bring HALF what he did down there, its 9 sacks 20 sone tackles 15 pressures and 2 FF and thats still better than our #2 last year!!!
