No. But the oil in the brush instantly rushes from colder brush to hot bronze and actually permeates the porous bronze. Lacquer thinner will take it off surface but not under. Chemicals applied after that will show pores unaffected by chems. Need to burn out with torch and re-sandblast. Does that sound like a good time?
- just wanted to yap a bit; Although only on the intro card to the video, i really like 'unnatural', i think it stands out alot. i personally see alot of symbolism and i think the story and message it tells is very interesting. To me, it's about pollution, clearing land for farming but the middle beam of light doesn't even shine on the farm- and it looks abandoned with the broken wire fence. Maybe abandoned dreams which didn't get noticed, or lost potential? or a comment on how we're no longer able to grow things the way we used to due to climate change, so it's 'unnatural'.
That is exactly why I'm doing this! Many of these have similar statements. I did a senior art show in college called "The Progress Machine" with the environmental messages. The first one shown is called "Artificial Environment Collapsing" with the monolith, human bodies flying, wings devolving, and falling into a pile. Fake land on water. 2×4 trees. Supports burning. But life goes on with beetles. Thank you for your comment. I'm so glad you have your impression. It is very inspiring.
