Thank you sooo much for doing this review and all the extra tips. I was considering going through a travel agent but now I feel pretty confident to book on my own. Out of all the Excellence resorts you’ve been to which one is best overall? Idk if I should book Punta Cana, El Carmen or Playa Mujeres. I’m stuck!!! Overall I like this suite the best I think out of all the rooms I’ve seen. Seems like Punta Cana actually has designated Honeymoon suites which is nice!
I have only been to one other, Riviera Maya. And I did not make a video of that one at the time. That one was better, definitely. We had a roof top pool suite at that resort. It was cool. The restaurants were definitely nicer too in Mexico. But we plan to try all Excellence resorts so take your pick.
Thank you for this video!! How do they differentiate between Eclub and non club? I don’t see a bracelet so was wondering how they stop the non club people entering the private parts. We got the excellence club package as well and are hopping for a good experience 😊
I think it’s by room number, because when we would go to the club areas on the beach and outside, they would ask your room number before they served you. Also, the club restaurants would require you to swipe your room key before you entered. But mostly anyone can go anywhere they want. It’s just the one beach area and the couple restaurants.
If you are loosing coolant that fast, you should be able to see the leak when the car is running without adding dye. If not, check your oil. If the oil looks milky or foamy, you have a blown head gasket. Or, if the design of your engine has the water pump being driven by the timing chain, your water pump could have a terrible leak causing coolant to pour into your engine. If none of that is the case….then ya, pour in dye and fill up the coolant. Run the engine and look for the leak.
The mini bar is the same in all of the rooms... soda, water, and beer. If you wanted the premium experience you should have paid for it... how many other resorts have you been to?
Hi there! We are booked for EPC in the spring and really enjoyed your video. Was wondering if you could shed some light on the beach and the bug situation🐜🪰 as we have been reading some reviews stating the beach was often Red Flagged due to rough seas and that the bugs were out in full force. As for bugs: they were nonexistent when we went. The beach was super clean. We got there at a time when there was no seaweed piled up. But the next day it started to roll in and then the day after it was full blown mountains of weeds. But the staff was out cleaning it all day everyday. Then it cleared up again only to repeat. But nothing anyone can do. The beach was red flagged everyday. The waves were huge and knocked me around a lot! It was fun though as long as you don’t go out too far. We loved it. That ocean breeze made the weather just perfect. But this was all from the week we went. Hope your time is just as nice.
We were here for a week in early December. We had zero issues with bugs/mosquitoes. We had a mix of yellow and red flags on the beach that week, and we went into the ocean everyday. The beach had very little seaweed, what was there, the staff were out at daylight cleaning up. You can't beat this resort for the price, it truly is Excellent.
Hmm interesting! We’ll be staying in the excellence club at EPC soon but it’s just garden view since it’s the last excellence club room they had. It’s good to know that we should request building 1-5. Thanks for posting! It was funny too because I thought the hydrotherapy you described sounded great to me 😂 so looking forward to giving it a try since it’s included

I'm staying soon and I am curious,if you don't mind sharing, if you booked direct? I didn't, and I'm worried accommodations won't be as good (like how they tried to put you in a different section). Hi. Ya, we did book directly through the resort’s website. We made sure to book with guaranteed cancellation (extra cost) just incase. Also, by booking direct and staying 3 days or more you get private transportation included to and from the airport. After the covid bs, we are probably no longer going to book through a 3rd party because Travelocity left us hanging after the first round of forced covid refunds. As far as getting the good side of the resort, when you book there should be a little section in the form with “additional requests or information”, something like that. Just note you want buildings 1-5 the Excellence side of the resort (we assumed we would have been on the good side until we got there). We had to change our room on site after we saw it and we definitely didn’t pay all that extra to not be on the Excellence side. Side note: when we stayed at the Excellence in Riviera Maya, we did not book direct. Everything was fine on that trip, we just had to pay extra for transportation. And we were on the good side of the resort, but for that trip we had a roof top pool suite as those were only in one area. Hope this helps. Thanks for the first comment!

Actually this was pretty informative. Yes there was a lot of negative things that you pointed out and you were quick to say that you had the low entry level room and experience. But you did go into detail about the different restaurants and bars and pools
You were wrong about all those prices for the equipment and part needed, as well as the diagnostic fee. Dealerships charge the highest diagnostic fee and it's only $150 at most
Sir, I watched this video right before the day we left for the Temptation, at first we thought you were here on Covid time so things are changing so you think negative about staying at Temptation resort. But 💯 YOU ARE RIGHT, I couldn't sleep on the first night because it was noisy ( even though we requested to move to the quiet pool side. The steak, soup, coffee, dessert... Cannot compare to the cruise buffet quality,and yes it's Walmart quality like you said, water not hot enough for showers....and more. The hotel and rooms are clean 5 stars, service is 5 too, the food is 3. Maybe we booked the resort without meeting our style, for younger people like parties they will much like it. If for a relaxing vacation, I do not recommend Temptation.
Sorry your experience was like mine. Ya, no Covid stuff for me. It was 2022 when I went. But yes not great. I won’t go back. I would rather go to the Excellence in the Riviera Maya any time from now on.
Gotta learn to edit yourself, repeat the same things a few times and next thing you know you have a 50 min video! 🙄 You can break videos into segments as well... Shocking your favourite bar was the quite bar and you wear a mask alone in your room... So many eye rolls dude... no dresser? opens doors to reveal a dresser... Most resorts these days have different wrist bands, if you got all the perks the Premier s had, what would the next level of service be for them? Stick with your day job, best of luck with future vacations!
Did you use dex cool antifreeze or any vehicle antifreeze? I don't have dex cool in mine so just wondering if I needed to flush the system and replace with dex cool or if I could drain my antifreeze and just use water with the dye. That way I could reuse my antifreeze
I used Dex because the GM vehicles take that. But you can use the dye in any antifreeze and leave it in. No need to flush it. Just pour in the dye, find the leak and top off with the recommended antifreeze.

Dude you don’t spend much time in the room. The class system, who cares i had a good time. It all in attitude if you gonna look what wrong then you gonna have a problem, you may not get Jack Daniel but you can get Jim Bean close enough Get drunk quit being picky and have a good time

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. We are Premier members and know the resorts very well. There is only ONE Temptation and it's in Cancun, it's TOPLESS OPTIONAL, and it's not a singles or couples resort. It's primarily couples and singles make about 10% of the occupancy. The one that's fully nude allowed is Desire, and there are 2 Desire resorts, and they are COUPLES ONLY. They don't have a "class system" like he said. They have a "membership" option, which we happily partake in. For the thousands of extra we paid up front, you better bet we get some upgraded perks that people booking "the cheapest room possible" aren't going to get. Inexperienced visitors don't know all the options or tricks, so don't let a one-time visit review from someone this unknowing sway your opinion. His "low class room" has nothing to do with his mini bar stocking. They're ALL like that with no hard liquor, unless you book the Master Suite or Penthouse. H
After spending that much money, the last thing I want is to feel a second class citizen. Screw their class system. Yes, it is very annoying, from room service, to your food and to where you can't sit or hang out. I don't care how much they charge, no one should feel inferior.
I'm a member and been to TTR 11x... I wasn't always a member and there are tricks to get what you want... at the pool.. get a drink from the pool waitress and tips will get you any drink you like... After the 2nd say you should be able to meet some people with a black band and go to dinner with them and get that extra items on the menu. If your picky on your liquor, pick it up in the airport or go to walmart. Once again, TIPS get you anything. One false statement, the Italian restaurant will not let you eat with tennis shoes.
Eh, most upscale all inclusive resorts have member only options and upcharges for upgrades. Sounds like you should have just splurged and went to Le Blanc. Lol, you almost explain why someone should upgrade to premier.
Great review! It’s true all the “outstanding reviews” are all coming from the members who paid $30k for a black band. & for those who are saying well you get what u pay for! - ummm yeah those garden rooms are NOT cheap they are $450 a night. I hate that you have to stand in line for a reservation and the black band members get their butlers to do it weeks in ahead.
@@Wow.69 we paid $17k for 500 nights and we can book any room except master suite or penthouse for just $258/night. That's where the biggest advantage of membership is. When The hotel rates are high, we still pay a set rate. We saved almost $8,000 over 2 trips last year, each of them a week long. Imagine the savings over the entire 500 nights.
