I think immigration is going to be part of the throes of this global transformation, which must take place. Israel is not going to be the monolithic societies they once were in the last century. Immmigrants are going to be at the centre of that. It’s a huge transformation for Israel to make.

supporters of this dont understand economics 101. all this does is enable people to compete more in the housing market. as a result housing prices will increase. in the end people will be dependent on a basic income instead of benefit from a basic income. its inflation and will immediately decrease the value of the currency. oh and help stupid bankers that made bad loans for a quick profit.
One thing needs to be emphasized here. It has to be a TOTAL UNCONDITIONAL BASIC INCOME OR UNIVERSAL INCOME. What politicians and powerful interest groups will do, is try to make it conditional on you doing this or that, taking a vaccine, or having an implant or giving blood etc. Another thing that should be emphasized is that this is not welfare of any kind. What should be understood is that you, as a citizen of your nation, are a part owner of that nation which means that when money is created by a central bank out of nothing, as it is now, the best way of distributing a larger portion of it is to spread it evenly amongst the citizens so their basics are taken care of. What people do with their life and their time after that is up to them. They can work, study, run businesses, do scientific research, play, hang out, do sport, teach, focus on family life or whatever. The point is this. Stuff will still get done. People will still grow food and provide other goods and services as they do now. A basic unconditional income just means that the focus of life for many will no longer be on SURVIVAL, doing meaningless activities for long hours for a small financial reward that only ensures a roof, food and clothing for many and little more for the middle classes. After the basic unconditional income is sorted out we can work towards making housing much easier. Lets create a surplus of homes with new cheaper materials so the price goes down and people are not saddled with 30 year mortgages. WE ARE ENTERING A PERIOD WHEN THE FINANCIAL SYSTEMS ARE GOING TO BE COMPLETELY REFORMULATED TO FREE UP THE TIME OF HUMAN BEINGS.
