We all found some really good ones after the hurricane. North Carolina and the southeastern United States is a very ancient place, every time it rains it washes out more. ❤ incredible artifacts, super sharp blades. They look very useful still, so I wonder what happened to the people and why they did not take them
@FacesintheStone Yes.....I wonder what happened to them? Was it a catastrophe of some kind..... Seems like really old stuff is deep on top of the bedrock. 2....3ft. Down.
The quartzite cobble with the hole is a natural formation,i have several very very similar.. the quartzite is a hard stone,at one point in time the hole was filled with a soft easily eroded mineral.. notice the hole and any external pits and divots are rough and brown, that is why..if the hole was drilled , the brown would be gone and the hole would be smoother, but it would have marks and striations inside the hole,hard stone to drill through,if they had drilled it , would have drilled from both sides, the drill holes drift around as they ground through, stopping and starting.. have several,all were used as nut or mineral grinders.. look for unusually smooth flat or smooth unusual contours...
Na, what you don’t know is that there is a complex multifaceted art that goes unrecognized by most modern people. Nearly every hand sized carry sized stone was brought to their present location by a human being long ago. They liked pretty rocks even more than we do. The first photo albums were made of stone. We have the evidence, it’s up to you to learn it ❤
