Thanks for the video. It almost looks like the keyboard or the desktop is not square - as if the sides of the keyboard is not parallel with the keyboard sides. The desk specs show that it's square so maybe the keyboard isn't or it's an optical illusion.
I do the same thing, but I use a splitter cable. My bass signal splits into my amp and the real tone cable. This way I can hear how I sound with no audio delay and see what notes I miss
One thing I learned that rocksmith glosses over is play different genres. You’ll learn very quickly bad habits won’t carry over between songs so over time you’ll learn proper technique
Playing slow is the hardest thing to develop discipline to play slow. Growing up in the 80s, listening to Vai, Greg Howe, Frank Gambale, EVH, of course we all wanted to play fast with lots of effects. My teacher on the other hand made me lose all the effects, and play to a metronome (yes, with a physical arm that swings back and forth), and said, until I could play the full scale, all the way up and down, in every position, say for C, I did not get to go any faster than that BPM.
I broke my beginner plateaus the second practice became fun. The habbits I developed are ones you describe and I am overjoyed! And kinda mind blown about thinking maybe I am able to play along side others.. I just found my long lost cord :) hoping the tv lag isn’t too bad XD
I do not understand the graphics. It just doesn’t make any sense! No instructions. A bunch lines and color’s coming at me fast. Just doesn’t register at all. What am I missing?
Hey Dale, begin at the main menu and start with LESSONS. If you know the basics of guitar playing Shifting 101 will be a good place to start and the other lessons show you what the graphics mean and what you should play when you see them. Let me know if this helps.
I got an acoustic in July and have been playing a ton since then. I got my first electric guitar a few days ago. It's much easier. I bought Rocksmith last night and I'm going to enjoy this. Thanks
@@AaronAKPParrish I sure will! I think the session mode will help me play guitar parts over my beats too. Just plug in the scale and doodle around until I've make some ideas
Thanks for this video and your advice. Been a bass player for almost 30 yrs. but, now I want to begin learning guitar. I got this game/learning aide about a week and a half ago and I'm loving it. Even with such a short time playing, I'm already beginning to memorize scales and modes. For what it is, I think it's a great alternative for those that might not be able afford a teacher/lessons. I use the bass mode for fun (and a bit of learning/polishing up/practice) but, the lead and rhythm guitar modes primarily for learning and enhancing. Any musician worth his salt knows there is always something new to learn or practice. During this time of self-isolation during this pandemic, there is no better time to learn to play an instrument. Music feeds and heals the soul and in this ever darkening world, music is always a bright light that can lead people into a better and cooler place if they just give it a chance. Nod in your direction...
@@AaronAKPParrish I’ve actually managed to get pretty good with the Guitar I feel I learned fast using your tips with Rock smith and just played a lot!!!
Felicia Studdard Hey Felicia! Do what ever keeps it fun and interesting for you. You can stick with one song until you learn it or you can learn multiple songs at once.
That’s a great question! I’m actually planning a move myself. The hardest part of putting the desk together was attaching the hydraulic cylinders from the legs to the top piece in order to make the desk raise and lower. I don’t know if I want to detach them. After you remove the cylinders , you could detach the top from the bottom. I would not take the whole unit apart. I would not want to wear out or strip the screw holes. I’m thinking that I will leave it whole when I move.
Bro... I just stumbled onto one of your videos while trying to play Rocksmith and learn guitar myself. Keep making videos, because you inspired me to just keep going. To just keep playing whenever I can, even if it's just 20 minutes in a day. I love it, man. You're awesome! Make more videos. I just subscribed.
