I have sold some, but it is not my first love or second one either. When my finished pieces get build up, a lot of times I donate a bunch to my son's school for their reading program. This year he hinted at that the new school he is teaching at doesn't have chickens like his old school did. The 5th graders raised them, collected their eggs to bring home to the family. Win-win. I like that idea. Not sure how much a chicken coop would cost.
Very pretty! I’m sure if I tried it Jeff would eventually hear me growl and a million tiny beads raining down from the spot on the wall where I hurled the whole lot lol
I worry about scratching my molds. Also, I just do one pair of earrings with waste at a time. But if I did have some old worn molds, I would do what you suggested. Thank you.
I have a few strands of the vintage glass pearls that were yuck and I dipped in acetone and stripped the coating. They make a really pretty sound clinking together
I don't have one. I see people using razor blades on glass when mixing the resin with the powders. I think my hammer will work in small batches if I just put in the time and muscles.
I don't trust that I wouldn't ruin the necklace. I would have to remove them before I tried. It is still an option. I may have found the original cabochon. If so, it is not the same color as the others. Hummmm. It is more yellowie than cream.
I didn't spray my mold with alcohol. Next time I will try that. I did tap it on the table and try to work the bubbles out. The problem was they were square beads. I will double my effort if I ever use square beads again in a project like this.
That is creative 😊 Love how it turned out & can't wait to see what you create with the pieces. I think the big piece would be neat to trim like rectangles or squares from to make charms. Beautiful work 👏
