Hi scale model fans! This channel is all about scale models. I wish to share my experience, thoughts and build process with you. I am by no means a professional scale model builder, so expect some bloopers :P I will do my best to upload regularly once a week every Saturday and interact with you all. Since I work in a semi-hobby shop, I can give you guys some regular unboxing videos of products from Revell, Italeri, Tamiya, Ebbro, ICM, AMK, Heller, Takom and other manufacturers. I support and promote constructive criticism and positive attitude towards builds. This is supposed to be a fun hobby after all.
@MatthewBaldwin-q3l hi Matthew 👋 With the amount of footage I have, it might be 5 and 6 😄. I plan to release video no. 5 next week and no. 6 soon after. I am in the process of editing both.
Thats cool, not atually ready for the next part just yet. I'm building it for the Mrs for Xmas, think I might not have given myself enough time given the amount of photo etch parts and detail etc..
I regret the moment I decided to buy this large pile of garbage. It just doesn't fit. You will need endless hours, sanding, filling, sanding again, making fit......it is the same with Revell.
I love the result of your method so much I was following along with you... so, time to dust this thing off and get back to it lol. Welcome back, by the way!
Hello. The two remainin videos are in the pipeline. I have finished the model in May 2024. The reason for a huge delay is a personal nature. So I do apologise for the delay.
@Jad-qd7hw From the keel to the top of the mast aprox. 20cm - 21cm. Note that the masts from Master are a bit shorter than the ones you get in the kit.
Hello. I have Flyhawk expansion set for Titatinc in 1/400 scale. It's for Academy and Airfix Titanic. I bought mine via MBK Germany. But I have seen wooden decks on Amazon for this ship.
I completely 100% without a doubt give you nothing but RESPECT.. You did a fantastic job with this kit and it looks amazing... I wish that I had seen your videos before I built mine 2 years ago.. There were so many times that I came close to throwing it in the dumpster.. I've never had to fight with any build the way I did with this one.. I haven't been the same since I finished the build , damn thing took a piece of my Soul with it.. 😂🤣😂🤣 That being said , in the end of that nightmare I actually came out with a pretty nice ship.. I wish Revell would put a little more time into this kit .. Because they could have a really good kit at a 1/400 scale.. But anyway , once again , nice job.👍
The only issue I have with 1:72 Trumpeter scale models is that more often than not the image you see on the box is the image of the 1:35 version, like with the T-80.
HI. excellent building!! did you mix the light brown with a little orange? on mine it comes out too dark, and it's the exact same color (AK 11100) thanks!
@@Mysmallhobby Thanks for the reply! 2 more questions: is the color of the masts the same light brown/orange? and with what did you recreate the cover plate at minute 38:42? with what material? Thank you!
@Interismomerdawjuve hi:) The cover plate was made from styrine rectangle beams. How ever in the end I found this cover as a part of pe parts in the flyhawk expansion pack. The beems are the same color according to my pictures.
@@Mysmallhobby ok, then I have to look better in my Flyhawk, since I have it too and I try (and I mean try 😂😂) to do everything more less like YOU did🙏🏼 So I'll take this opportunity now to ask you for the fourth and fifth part, you are my guide and you are building the most beautiful and accurate 1:400 Titanic on ALL RU-vid! It would be sad if you didn't finish it, you're doing a WONDERFUL job🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝
Glad you showed up in my feed. Great kit, hard to find sometimes. Currently working on the AMT American LaFrance Fire Engine Series. Glad to see that these companies are starting to mold the truck frames and tanks etc as one piece so that you end up with a decently built kit. Model kits are expensive and truck frames can really ruin a kit. Going to eventually look for this one.
I haven't used an airbrush for about 40 years, and it had a huge air can attached. Which model are you using here, and is it compresser free? (Sorry for the naive questions)
Hello 3Aisak. I do apologise for not uploadig for some time now. I intend to post 4 and 5 but I have not tuched this model for almost 6 months now. It's a bit more finished than you see on the video, but not much more. This year has been very challengin for me, so I did not find the proper motivation to contunue. Thanks for your comment and I hope I can finish early next year.
Don't worry, I understand you perfectly. I've had him stopped since March, and the same thing happens to me. I hope to resume during the Christmas holidays, because I really want to, and I have created some pieces with a 3D printer, but I need time. Thanks for answering, very grateful. A hug!
Thinking that youre funny when youre not, awefull loud bg music and just reading the wiki page pretending to know all the info bout the tank.....pls stop making vids.🥱
it's kinda late but YES. I have the same Academy model and this Flyhawk kit is specifically made for the Academy. I have purchased it too and it is amazing. Full worth the 100€. The only thing missing are the two metal poles for the teleraph.
I wanted to ask what primer you use on the hull. Does this primer need to be thinned for spraying or is it ready to use. I have no experience with this.
@@Xyrofant1Hi. I typically use Tamiya fine surface primer in a can. I don't like primers for airbrush application. But yes, if you will use a airbrush primer, you will need to thin it down.
Japanese were Axis too but they didn't care that much about their ally Germany and the feeling was mutual. Each one fighting his own war in his own corner. Sure there were diplomatic exchanges and Japan was interested in the more advanced German equipment but that was about it.
I have glued all the decks together, including the side white superstructure parts A1 and A2 but I would like some advise how to assemble to the hull, as my topside appears to be to wide to fit into the hull. Any advise would be appreciated Great videos by the way only viewed part 1-3 so far
