I don’t think he’s an entirely good or bad person, no one in this story is, it is strange that he receives a disproportionate amount of hate though. He just resonated with me so much. He’s such a mentally broken man and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a character so accurately portray what it’s like to be mentally disturbed by sex and relationships.
I like Rorschach, I like him because he moved on with his life without giving up even knowing in the place where he was born, he is a survivor, a fighter, a twisted one. But still it is my favorite, I just hope that in the movie that is coming now in 2024 about Watchmen (animated adaptation by DC) it will be faithful to it. Although I still think that it is better that they take out a series, be it animated or live action. Translator yayyy!!!!
I know the main focus of this documentary is meant to be about the discovery of mermaids and all that but listening to the whales in pain after the sonar testing starts as myself as an animal lover is really heartbreaking to listen to. I tear up everytime I listen and watch that part.
It's funny how when Alan Moore now describes Rorschach as a vile and terrible person yet in his deconstruction he only really affirmed why Rorschach was a hero.
Rorschach is a vile and terrible person, but at his core he is still quintessentially heroic. He really does want to do good, but his life has twisted his perception he can only do so through violence, intimidation, and fear.
He’s a hero in the same way that the riddler was in the new Batman. His twisted childhood led him to despise humanity, creating a desire to cleanse it. He’s not a hero because he doesn’t want to help anybody, he only wants to punish those who perpetuate or allow evil.
@@waltergaming817 Sorry but no, that's completely false. Rorschach is objectively a hero, and he doesn't kill innocents to prove his point like Riddler did. His twisted childhood isn't what led him to despising humanity, it was the murder of Blair Roche.
@@spoodurmin9742 that is true, blaire rorche’s mudrer was his breaking point were he really gave up on humanity. And while he does refuse to kill innocent people, his definition of what makes a person innocent is questionable at best. He is relentlessly cruel to anybody who even might have information he needs, including a reformed criminal with cancer. Meanwhile he regards the comedian, a psychopathic rapist, as an American hero. And while Rorschach refuses to destroy New York, he and riddler both have similar views on their cities. Rorschach even predicts New York’s destruction, and that he would stand by as it happened.
@@waltergaming817 That’s because he is a hypocrite. He’s inherently a flawed human with flawed beliefs, like everybody in Watchmen. That’s what makes him so compelling, because even with all of his flaws, even with all the bad shit he’s done, he stands out as the best of all of them.
The real Bloop recording sounds nothing like this. This version still gives chills though knowing that in this film’s universe, aside from the whales, those are the cries of thousands of individual, intelligent, sapient creatures that are being hurt and they don’t understand what’s happening. I know this is fake though. The line “We should’ve considered the aquatic ape theory sooner” just is laughable now looking back and as far as filmmaking goes it kinda ruins the drama of the scene.
Fun fact: While there is a real part of the bloop... they also added something. Pops in right after the real audio text fades out. Also, they've proven what the bloop actually is. All you're doing is continuing to perpetuate the hoax, by muddying the waters of what is the real bloop and what is the doctored one. Great work, really, fine work.
This is the best portrayal of Rorschach, this monotone voice suits his resigned personality much better than the tryhard batman voice from the movie. Rorschach kept saying over&over how *"I wasn't Rorschach yet, i was still kovaks wearing a mask"* what he meant by this is that he still had some hope for happiness in life, his outlook on life changed when he witnessed horrors of the underworld, that mixed with his own horrible past ended up turning him into a person who's only life's purpose is to exact vengeance. That's the only way he can cope with his life, this is why the his death is so poignant. He could've just let it go and accept the noble lie or just kill Ozymandias, but he wanted to share his absolutist viewpoint with the entire world. Rorschach believes that the world is an extremely horrible place and he's technically not wrong but the problem with him is that he never realizes that he can create a happy place in this dark world if he fought for it, that's the fatal flaw of his character.
Noble Lie? No, He Knew what that Alan Moore Hell That would Be When the World Realized. He Was the Only Hero. No Matter How Much you Try to Psychologize him.
Rorschach is many things, but a nihilist isn't one of them. If he was a nihilist he would've never fought evil in the first place, let alone been consumed with doing it. He would've simply accepted that everything is pointless because people are bad and nothing will change that, but he fought every single day for the opposite cause. Rorschach believes in absolute good and evil, and he knows that evil must be fought and can never be compromised with or else you end up murdering millions of innocent people for a lie just to get a few more minutes on an imaginary clock. There's nothing noble about that.
Acctually it can be refuted the Bloop is caused by Ice Quakes and the sound that's there is fake notice how the "Actual Audio" text fades away when the fake sound plays
So all of you know, this is fake, it is confirmed to be fake and the real bloop doesn't include those screams. Also the screams start as soon as the real recording sign fades
@@Jazzanaught I sincerely hope that was a joke. It ASTOUNDS me that in this day and age, with the ease and availability of the internet to so easily look up this mockumentary and the information about it confirming that it's not real, there are still people like this. Seriously, Animal Planet _themselves_ have confirmed it was fake. I honestly don't know what more could prove it's not real than the people who made it saying it's not real. PS if you were being sarcastic, my bad. If you weren't....YIKES
@@babyblue_22 Some have said mermaids are real. But the moon landing is fake. Even the paranormal or mythical creatures were real. Governments shouldn't bother keeping them classified. Some people are too stupid for their own good.
I hate how when this documentary came 6 years prior they discovered the reason for the bloop but what these people do is take it and then add these fake sounds at the end
