I had an overdose about 7 years ago and ended up in the hospital. I had gotten clean before but this time was the time that I realized I was going to die if I didn’t stop. My ex husband was also an addict, I left him, filed for divorce, started over with nothing. I also had been charged with 42 felonies for prescription fraud over a long period of time and I spent 8 hours of jail and ended up getting pre trial Intervention. They dropped all of the charges but 9 of them and I was able to get them expunged, so I now have a clean record. After that I realized I was having some serious divine intervention in my life that I wasn’t going to shit on. I seriously changed my life. I’ve been clean ever since, I had my son in 2021 and he will never have to see me as the person I used to be. I also found out that my ex husband passed away in January from a drug overdose. That was really an eye opening moment because I knew if I had stayed with him I would have lost my life as well.
I quit 5 years ago after being on speed for the best part of 40 years and I gave up cos I completely lost the plot and ended up on the nutter ward for a bit, i was all over the place for nearly a fortnight and I thought that was it I would never get back to normal but once my meds were sorted I slowly started to come back to reality, I'm glad it happened otherwise I would still be on it as I never wanted to stop, best thing I ever did 😜
