For the Katana Go session feature, if you have midi and audio bluetooth set up, you will have the backing track and your guitar through the audio output. I use it all the time, it sounds great. It could easily be used for live performance with good backing tracks and auto switch of presets at the appropriate time, eg solos, etc.
I would agree with you, the fender is a whole lot less work up front, you've got 3 times the preset space, more than double the factory presets and they've done a fairly decent job on matching up a lot of tone genres that people are likely to be quickly satisfied with... The BOSS one requires you to put in a lot more work if you're on your own. That said the BOSS does tie you into an absolutely HUGE collection of user and pro made Tones from the mki and mkii katana range which could get you a long way without actually tweaking. If you do enter the world of tweaking though, which seems to me much more the usual game with modelling platforms, from helix to head rush, axe FX to quad Cortex - you're kinda expected to jump in at the deep end of the pool. The Go here actually packs a huge punch ✊. The sessions feature has never really been my thing, but it does actually send the full audio through the modeller and headphones 🎧 likely you have not connected the iPad audio to Bluetooth to stream through. The stage effect would totally come to life if that has been done and it can be extremely immersive. BOSS could definitely learn a few interface design tricks from Fender, but conversely Fender would have a very hard time keeping such a clean and cool interface if they built a system that can do what the Go does. I think either will work just fine in the end. Where the fender totally lacks is footswitch or expression Pedal integration. You can get around the fender limits at the front of the chain, just add your own pedals, wah, volume pedals, pitch shifters if that is what you want. The tail end where the delays and reverbs come in well there you're kinda stuck. Hopefully fender will address that with at least a plate reverb and some generic means of changing patches by foot, if not then likely people will only use that amp purely for minor practice and move on up to their flagship modeller if it really answers the call. Time will tell how BOSS responds. They do have 2 other very good products in the market already for headphone amps - the waza air and the PGT. The editors on each have their own issues but I think even for a none tweaker, once you do know your way around it, the tweaking itself stops and you settle into your custom sounds . Well - some of us... Not me. 😂
Interesting input, and as an owner of both the MM+ and the BK Go (as well as a Tone Master Pro), I totally agree. One point I should add, though, is that there‘s a small-but-friendly FB group out there for the MM+, and there one person has mentioned that his simple iRig footswitch (Bluetooth, 2 switches) works well when paired to the same iOS device as the MM+, with no extra settings needed. He uses it to switch presets (!). How cool is that?! :-) I have the same iRig footswitch, as well as its bigger brother and some others, so will be testing things to see what footswitches might also work with the MM+. But for me, the ability to switch presets (up and down) is a huge thing, effectively making the MM+ stage-compatible for my solo acoustic/electric + vocals performances. My main thing is acoustic (about 70:30), and my audiences won‘t be missing any tonal quality if I use the MM+ for my Jazzmaster, which just adds some extra flavors (and increased playability) on certain songs. If this works out well, I‘ll get a 2nd MM+ with the same settings on it, just as a backup.
@@scottbecker3485 that's our group and whilst it did go up n down presets, it didn't select them, I think it needs a new combination of whatever that pedal sends in hid commands plus some sort of enter. I found another command that always jumps to preset 9. We need to get a Bluetooth keyboard ⌨️ to figure out HID combinations, programming a switch on airsteps takes way too long.
We had one of those chargers with a 383 my neighbour bought it and now it has a 426 semi classic cars, Used to watch the dukes loyally Thank you new friend from Alberta CYU
how much did they people to come watch this show?, hope they got to seesome drag racing too! hopefully no Chargers, stunt drivers, nor Ned Beatty were harmed during this performance!
I’ve got a 22 GT as well wondering if I want to change the exhaust. Just want to amplify the sound it already makes. Don’t want it loud which is why I didn’t get the v8.
I have mine off the floor on a stand and it sound pretty good that way just fyi. A little of the low tones are tamed ha ha. Awesome thanks for this review it helped me to decide on if to get one or not.
Hello..... Awesome car!. I've sent you a couple comments about your General Lee RC Kyosho build. Is there any way I can contact you through Facebook or something? I have a couple of questions for you and possibly an offer
Hey man....great build. Do you have a Facebook page ? I'd like to ask you some questions about the work you did on the body ? Not sure how to get ahold of ya ? Ihave the orange bidy and all the 3D printed parts to build this exact General Lee. I would love to pay you to complete the body and cut and mount all the 3D printed parts
Sounds great homie!!! Especially in your community, you can’t have a NASCAR sound trying to grab a late night snack. My advise. Get the mid’s and change them over to super tens as well !!!
Try getting the bigboz4 and replace the mid mufflers with 2x bigboz4 and straight pipe it from the cat back (no resonators) Do all that from an X pipe. Just got it done on my v6 charger and sounds amazingly loud and good, it’s got that growl I was looking for
Dude no offense but that sounds terrible. It barely sound like you did anything to it. However If it was a v8 it sound different but sorry my opinion is you wasted your money
Sounds pretty good to me! Do you have any drone with this setup? I run a similiar setup but with Cherry Bomb Glasspacks instead of the stock rear reaonators, mid mufflers are also stock. My setup has an annoying drone somewhere between 2.400 and 2.600 rpm. Regards Michael
I had a Luci and sold it to get a Hobbit. What an absolute mistake on my part. That and WH20 are the 2 pins I regret selling/trading more than any others. I just recently scored a complete Helen kit with both versions of the playfield overlay. Just beed to find a nice Pro Vault to slap these on now.
you should take that body now and go over the inside with some drywall tape and shoegoo or polyester resin and strengthen the shell, make the shell less prone to tearing or cracking if she gets banged up. you can check out kevin talbots channel for that, thats where i learned it anyway. guy does it to all his rc and they can take a beating
Great job on the car! Before you make a new kydex pushbar mount, you may want to try shimming the bar out on each side to get it to sit how you want. Bending Kydex and getting it perfectly aligned (especially over 2 bends) isn't easy. I got lucky on my Kyosho and it came out perfect, but on the RJ Speed body I just did, I had to shim one side about 1/8" to get the push bar parallel to the front of the car, and I had to slot one of the mounts so I could raise one side up. I used a little plastic bushing that I cut down to the right thickness and put it between the push bar and the kydex mount to space it. You can do that or you can just stack it with washers to get it out where you need to.
The bigger problem sort of is that I want it a bit further out and slightly more "up" on one side.. however I guess shimming one side slightly down from the main mount and slightly forward from another might do the trick also. Since I have the extra material I'll probably try another go at it first and then see how it goes from there. Now that I know how to work with it.. I bet it will take me longer to cut the "square" square enough with my jigsaw than bending it. I don't have a router or table saw with a true straight edge to cut this with.
Would this work in Stereo with an Axe IO interface? I use the Neural DSP Plini Amp SIM and change patches through MIDI on my PC. I think the Headrush cabs would connect to the back of the AXE IO interface Line ins and into the Line Outs on the Headrush Cabs? Cheers bro
Great video! I’m doing the same project, just waiting for my parts to come in and I recommend the Ess one+ or ess dual+ if you want your car to sound like a real car…I downloaded the charger sound along with the Dixie horn!
@@nazmoking3171 hi is the sound still good even with backing track having vocals? i would like to send backing tacks with vocals trhough bluetooth + palying simultaneously and be able to hear clearly the backing tracks over the heasrush
@@renaudstaessens7559 I don't have the headrush. I send the signal direct through to one of my solid state Peavey amps. Yes the backing tracks do come through with quality sound and can be played over effectively.
The only issue I have which is so damn damaging is you plug the Speaker into the Amp while the amp is on. You could turn down the amplifier's volume before plugging a speaker in. You will blow the amp or the speaker, That "Zzzzttttt" is the surge load from the amp to the speaker! Stop doing that if you actually care for your equipment. Take care of the machines and they will recipocate. Good demo showing the different sounds of the two speakers. I think I will will get one 12". Maybe then another for more stereo qualities.
