I like that this is a practical routine and I feel like not enough people acknowledge that not all waves are equal. Mine are similar to yours, so I guess 2a and I also get a few coily-girls, as you said lol. And my hair is low density and fine. Sometimes, if my hair is in the right mood (aka usually when there is enough humidity in the air), it is a bit wavier, but I feel like there are so many videos on the internet trying to show that if you go on this “journey” your hair will be even wavier/curlier than ever and I just haven’t found that to be the case for my hair. Its waviness kinda fluctuates, but it’s not as black and white as I feel like people make it out to be. Not many people acknowledge 2a waves. Anyway, I think I will try this routine soon! Thank you!

When you mentioned you only need to style the top of your hair .. I instantly knew the video will be relevant 😅 .. I have 2b-c front hair (bangs part only) .. 1b -c with a little frizz on the top layers … inner layer is straight 🤷🏻♀️ super weird

My hair is mostly straight but in pictures I can see I have like sections of my hair that looks super zig zaggy and wavy but if you look at me from the front it looks like super straight hair but the back is like a party lmao
My hair is 2b/2c and after 2-3 months in the process i realized i like the effortlessness of a simple routine, and i also encourage anyone with thin hair strands to try cgm friendly hair spray. Works better than gel
Hey, I hope this is okay to share here! I am a transwoman and I was never allowed to grow my hair out when I was a child. I am really grateful for this video. I cannot put loads of product in my hair as the weight exposes my receding hairline, so this has been perfect for me. I've since purchased another pair of Gazelles in 1 size down from my regular size - 5 instead of 6 - and they fit great. Some comparison notes based on my true Size 6: I own the Gazelle in yellow with pink stripe in Size 6 - these are a Women's shoe, nylon upper, and when I tried the Size 5, they were too short and too small The light green Gazelle in the video are a Size 6 - these are also a Women's shoe, suede upper, and felt the same as my yellow and pink Women's Gazelle in Size 6 My newest Gazelle is the blue suede with white stripes in a Size 5 - these are a Unisex shoe and fit perfect in both length and width - they feel like my Samba in Size 6 which are also a Unisex shoe So it seems that if the shoe is unisex, then going down a full size in the Gazelle can work out! Ultimately it will depend on your own foot length, shape, and comfort nuances - I would suggest that you order more than 1 size if possible and return the one that doesn't work out. I have wider feet use Samba 12 but Gazelle 11 is enough. Unfortunately I have 12 handball Spezial but they are bigger and I wish 11 would have been better. For women’s shoes it may be different of course

The thing about the hair not being symmetrical is very obvious with me, because my hair literally curls to the right. My entire head. So my right side looks great because it's curling away from my face and looks like I put in effort to curl my hair, but my left side is also curling towards to right, which I try to scrunch/plop in the "opposite" direction of it's natural direction, so it always looks kinda flat. I just push all my hair to one side now when I'm out cos I can't deal with this LOL I also previously used the mark anthony curl lotion or something and it did absolutely nothing for my hair.

Exact same way. If there's already product in it, sometimes I just use water as that's enough to reactivate the product and I don't like the feeling of having too much stuff in my hair. On day 3/4 I use some more mousse since I know I'll shower and wash it out anyway.

Yep, I had that friend that always had to have a boyfriend, was never single (she usually left 1 guy once she had another waiting) & only ever had time when she was in a fight with her bf, involved in a lot of drama & wanting to dish or looking to cheat & wanted someone as a wingman, or just wanted a favor or someone to complain to about her other friend. She also never came to any of my parties or special things (like my art opening) but expected me to come to all her events, parties, kids parties, etc. She pretty much is "always so busy." Well yeah, we all are. If someone puts you on their C list, don't make them an A list friend. They are an acquaintance at best. The negative, complainer friend is tough, especially if you know they have a good heart & have been there for you. You don't always want to drop them, but you need some distance because they have become draining to be around & maybe a little stuck & need professional help from a therapist instead of relying on you so much. I did find it more difficult to maintain close friendships once I married. Between work, school, & all the other life demands I barely had the emotional battery for my spouse & just wasn't as available or interested in doing the same things as when I was single & ready to mingle. And I was never a hang out or talk everyday kind of friend anyway. That made me feel a little crowded. So yeah, things drifted...it's tough making & maintaining friendships as an adult once your'e out of school.
I've noticed a big difference between Summer & Winter since our Summers are very dry & hot with wet Winters. In the Winter my hair shrinks up much more & I get thicker juicier clumps & more definition (it's 2b/2c I guess & can verge on 3a) but in the Summer it doesn't clump as much or not as thick & the waves are looser & less defined (which is fine, I wanted beachy waves not tight curls). I could never get good resulrs from refreshing until I used Mop Top curl activating gel. That reactivates nicely with a little water/leave in conditioner mixture. I think the key with wavy hair is not using products that are too heavy for your hair texture or expecting it to be curly when it's not. Mousse & light weight gels work better than heavy curl creams & thick gels. I do sleep with it up in a pineapple just to prevent tangling since I do not brush it (frizz city if I do) I think what most of us want is fullness & body without frizz :)
I feel so seen about the best friend thing! In my experience, the folks who obsess about having a best friend/put people on pedestals tend not to live up to the expectations they’ve set for others. I believe that you have to be willing to give others the things you seek - aka if you want to have healthy/trustworthy friendships you have to be a healthy, trustworthy person! A title is just a title at the end of the day. Your character and how you treat people is what matters most
