I am an avid gamer as well as a game designer. My goal is to introduce games of all sorts to a broader audience. I will be doing video game play through sessions as well as sessions for new and popular (or just ones I like) board games.

Finally getting around to watching the series Doug. One of my favourite games that I've never played. The entry price is a bit steep for me unfortunately. Good to see that first pylon go up.
Hey Doug, I was starting to get the shakes because there had been no Spooky Season playthroughs! So very glad to get a fix this morning! lol Did you produce the animated intro for Vagrantsong? If so very well done. Good to hear you have been on a course to hone your creative skills. Looking forward to the next episode, and now kicking myself that I didn't nab a copy of the game the other day when it popped up on Ebay at a good price!
I made and error at the very start of the game and forgot to read the first event. I will correct it in the next Episode but it does not have much impact.

Heheh. I wrote the lyrics then produced it using an AI music generator to craft the song. I plan to do a video for the whole song but have had some other priorities first. Every time your intro surpasses your previous one …this intro was absolutely awesome …glad you decided to run with this game …I ‘ve had it a while but it’s been fighting for space on my solo table as it’s not my wife’s cup of tea …but I have an ever expanding list of games to solo…currently playing Roll Player Adventures which is staying longer on my table than I anticipated…but that’s for good reasons …lol but your playing this might push it up my “to play “ list
Roll Player Adventures is a great game. Thanks for the comments on the intro. If you have not seen what I am doing over on my Greatness Forge channel you will get an idea of what I am doing now in regard to intro and film making.
No need for apologies. I did not make the board. The rules are not really that complex. After one play you would have it down. There is a lot of theme baked in and I think that lends to some fiddly stuff. Overall, I am really enjoying the game. I do understand your perspective.
Great series so far. Was Ed supposed to take a hit point of damage around the 27 minute mark? I still have this game in shrink, don’t know if the table is large enough.
@@Dougmysticeye I'm sure you will - and thanks again! By the way, when the Horrors eat the Civilians units, that is a Close Combat and the Horrors stacks will grow by one and you place a Biohazard cube into the bag. That applies even during the First Contact procedure. Enjoy!

dude, the BELL may be used and last UNTIL NEXT TURN of the monk, so get the whole heroes at least 1 turn, because the others go first before his next turn on the next ROUND.

Whatever you say, the farmer and the monk kept stepping up to the plate when other souls cowered and trembled. Or else were pushed forward by the other town folk as volunteers! lol Great fun thanks Doug. Super tight finishes are always the best way to end a game!
*spoiler* You never used the traveler! You drew 2 cards then threw him away. You could have used him to reduce fear by 1 which would have let you win lol.
Looks like a cool little game, fun, simple and quick playing but you have to make choices on using the cards. Thanks for showcasing it, Doug. It's nice to see something that doesn't have oversized minis that comes in huge boxes that require the use of a forklift truck to lift em. Not that I'm jelly of all the people that get the big box games or anything lol
Yeah. I love all the minis and big production but I like game play better. This is a tight, fun and fast solo game. The mat is not required but makes it easier to manage and looks cool.
It is original. I wrote the lyrics myself and then created the music and vocals using AI. It is called Siege of Shadows. I was creating it for another project but it ended up appropriate for this one.

Your hand stays at a base of 3 but there are some villagers that allow you to draw an extra card or two for that turn. Otherwise your hand so is does not increase.
Couple things…too late to correct now, but you missed a War Machine turn in episode 1. Second, when you’re completing a villain card, IIRC you want to complete it top down before moving to the next action. So you would put out all civilians and thugs before moving on to the henchman’s BAMs. This impacts some being able to remove things. Love the videos!!!
War Machine is excellent, a nice move and shoot mechanic. Nick Fury is a great character for getting characters to gain actions out of turn. Zemo is one of the easiest villains in the game.
Nice one Doug! What dastardly scheme does Baron Zemo have in store for the good citizens of New York?!? I'm wondering if he dumps a load of citizens on the rescued citizens card to trigger the event. Do the heroes get a reward for saving all the citizens? In which case they may lose that benefit... Will have to stay tuned to the channel to find out! lol
