Hi! I'm Gracia, mom of one and I am here to show you all how I am managing my finances through budgeting on a low income. I am also on a debt-free journey so buckle up and let's get on this ride. I keep things pretty honest and open in my videos. I do hope you can all learn from my mistakes and make better financial choices.
completely agree with you on two things. I would always check my food - imagine getting home then having something go to waste because it's bad! also, food quality is so important i always buy meat and veg from waitrose/m&s then go cheap markets for big bag of rice, oats etc and sauces/spices. loved the video :) x
I love how super fresh the fruit always looks in M&S 🙌🏾 the satsumas from there taste incredible, it is the only place I will buy them from. Gracia I didn’t have you down as a chicken and mushroom pie lover - it surprised me. If anything I would’ve guessed steak pie 🧡🧡🧡
Shop whereever and whatever you like! 😘 I always make a shopinglist from what is on offer in the stores, and the first store I hit is the "fancy" one. They always have the best products, and I like buying there, especially bargains. Then I go to a discount store for the everyday stuff. 😉 Oooh I spotted crumble desserts. They dont sell them here - I love a fresh baked crumble with vanilla icecream!
That's it! One life to live😊. I agree. The fruits and veg here are always lovely. If only we could ship desserts, I'd send you some over. I'm not a big dessert person lol. Thanks for watching 🤗
@ameliahayles8754 I still have pains love but I am just getting on with life, thanks for asking. We are working on elimination certain things from our diet in ref to the pork consumption. I was told to avoid it. But it has been a struggle to be honest. Thanks for asking and also thanks for the suggestion.
I agree with you on the Costco price increase 😞 I cannot justify paying the £25 for the salmon fillets. I use to pay anywhere from £16-£19. Yes we have a separate budget for Costco, I call it ‘Costco/Bulk buys’. We tend to bulk buy items like rice, pasta, tinned goods, fizzy pop cans, washing powder, fabric conditioner & washing up liquid ❤
Yep it's insane how the prices have just gone mad. It's a shame really cause I loved their salmon. A Costco budget/sinking fund is definitely needed. 🩷
Gracia you have to try the ‘salt & pepper tiger bread baguette’ from Tesco, it’s absolutely gorgeous 😍 especially with some chicken and salad in, or with cheese & onion crisps 🩵🩵
Haha, I realized that this was an old video just now. Best before date in April! 😅 Nice ingredients, I think I will come to dinner one day! 😉 I like the big strawberries too Kaelan. We have a strawberry farm just down the road, or on the road home from work. Its so good to snack on them on my way home. But really expensive!
Yes, it was recorded back in April but I was so poorly I didn't manage to edit it. You are welcome anytime. You and Kaelan will get on well with those strawberries. Yes, they are really expensive. Thanks for watching my love. 🩷
I know my dear. It is so hard to end the budget on the positive side these days. I dont know the last time I got a takeaway, a haircut or new clothes. I buy used clothes now. Electricity is still expensive, we export electricity to other countries, and import their prices. Got about a 4.5% rise on my income from May, but after tax it is not much, and it certainly doesnt cover all the increases in the society. But, we do our best, right? I go for walks - absolutely the best for mental health! And its free! ❤
Hello 👋 there certainly seems to be less flexibility in our budgets recently. So much is going up in price or is unavailable. We need hearing tests, eye tests and new glasses, a new accessible (since my accident) bathroom, dentist bills arrggg! It goes on and on doesn’t it. You can do this though and so can I 👍
Hiya, everything is increasing except the wages. Had to pay car insurance but that went on a cc cause I just don't have the cash. I hope you manage to get your new accessible bathroom cause that'll help you so much. The dentist I only have to pay for major work but I pay £20+ monthly as my dentist is now private so it covers check ups and cleans etc. I feel like I'm always in a financial rot yearly. Can't seem to get ahead even when I start the year off well. Sending you lots of love. We've got this 🩷
Loved this vlog. Your Costco is bigger than ours especially the freezer section. The frozen Salmon has really soared in price now so we buy the fresh fillets and freeze them ourselves, saves almost half the cost and the pieces are so big we can feed both of us on one. I just add lots of veg or salad to the plate , with a small jacket potato it’s still very filling. Wish i could enjoy the food samples but only very rarely are they gluten free. I must look for the fruit shoots there for our youngest granddaughter as she loves them.
Hey hun! Oh wow. I'd love to see the other costcos in neighbouring cities. We do get people who travel in to our costco expecially during covid it was wild. The fresh salmon is ridiculously expensive. I use to buy it for £14 - £15 now it's over £25. Yes, agree the salmon is quite big. The fruit shoot is definitely a bargain there. Thanks for watching. 🩷
Loved this Costco vlog, and loved that it was a long one. I would have spent so much money at Costco lol, I haven’t been to Costco before, so thanks for showing us around. I love the pots and pans, the blade less fan they had at the beginning looked really nice. 👍🏽
Thanks Miss K. I love browsing the costco aisles. You got to go to costco since your comment. It's such a lovely place to bulk shop. I love the bladeless fans. Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it 🩷
Hi Gracia, long time since I've seen you. Love those videos! 🙂 That is what Costco is all about, people getting things they dont need! 🤣About kitchen gadgets... I use my KitchenAid stand mixer, the airfryer, the toaster, and the microwave. Almost forgot, I do use the blender sometimes, the boys use it more for smoothies. The crock pot is only collecting dust. We have fans, love those bladeless ones, more silent and pet friendly. My eldest bougth the Dyson one, tall one. It has a remote control. It is a bit crooked when I last saw it... must have fallen over. Very nice those hot days. Not that we have too many of those.. Enjoy the shopping!
Lol , at the fan being crooked, I wonder what the boys did to it? Haha. I used to always buy things I don't need in costco lol but that me is long gone. My goal is to get a vitamix very multifunctional. I don't have a microwave, nor have I bought an airfryer (still on the fence about it). Thanks for watching 💙
Haven't tried the mushroom stock yet but I've been using the other stocks for years. Will use the mushroom stock to make gravy and probably some soup. Thanks for watching.💛
