Information is not knowledge, knowledge is not wisdom, wisdom is not truth, truth is not beauty, beauty is not love, love is not music, music is the best
Yep those bass lines are from Doug Raugh But gee this album is a monster All great musicians who are underrated who in my opinion are better and greater than most at that time Thanks Lenny for blessing us
@Plaît Liste you're welcome. This 1972 HAmburg tape is a new discovery for me too. It's a brilliant performance throughout. Indeed, it was not easy to pick one song to upload here. It's so good that I believe it deserves an official release. Maybe I'm biased because I love this early incarnation of the band, possibly even more than their electric days. Enjoy my friend and have a good week 👍🎶✌️

@@musicisyouronlyfriend I couldn't agree more with you my friend :D Have a nice week!
I am 65 and a HUGE long time AB fan - never heard this before - and the real question here is where is the rest of this recording !? It is clearly high quality, but this is just the last minute or two of what might have been a 25-30 minute jam.... As big a fan as I am, my oldest son is even bigger and more knowledgeable about ABB trivia and details (I could not be more proud).... I have long heard rumors of more live stuff with high quality audio and even good video of the original band in 1970 and 1971. That stuff would be *priceless*.... I want that !
@willmiddleton9199 this was officially released on cd in early 2000's. It's a fantastic show throughout. www.discogs.com/release/1232285-The-Allman-Brothers-Band-Live-At-The-Atlanta-International-Pop-Festival-July-3-5-1970
This band is insanely underrated. Maybe it's because they used sax instead of electric guitar, but they still managed to be quite heavy (and light when they needed to be). I adore reeds in rock (especially with tape effects and through synths), so this is just delicious. Thanks again, Dennis Mochon. Always with the awesome recommendations.
I like this psychedelic, hypnotic sound, which makes me travel in another dimension; a sound of the 70s and exclusive to this era of transcendental meditation, musical experimentation and alternative ways of thinking 🥸
This jazz is of hypnotic beauty... Jack DeJohnette's drumming is almost unbelievable, it's so perfect, beautiful and engaging. Ralph Towner creates a wonderful atmosphere with his plucked guitar. Eddie Gomes makes everything even more colorful and beautiful! Anthological...
