Oh yea, Our mascot Nala the K-9 (Miniature Siberian Husky / Blue Healer mix) will be in most of the adventures.
I think I’ll install this. I was thinking about one from Victory4x4, but since I have to end up using this company for my bed rack I’ll just use it for the roof rack also.
I have a few questions.....Do you still own your Colorado? And did you notice a change in the way your suspension handled after the installation? And have you had any ball joints or axles replaced......just curious of what to expect Thank you.
Well done, I’m getting ready to do the same thing on my 2021 Bison. Which Prinsu did you use for the camper shell, and which make/model camper shell do you have? I’m a fan of Leer, but I’m most concerned with having the cab and shell Prinsu’s match up as seamlessly as possible. Thank you!
Great DIY video for installing the Prinsu roof rack. I'm installing mine on a different vehicle but your video has plenty of tips for a successful installation. From buying extra push nuts to recognizing the need to chip away the epoxy in the seam in order for the spacers to seat correctly and using the right rivet tool. I think the push nuts you linked have the wrong grip range as the sheet metal is not that thick. Regardless...Thanks again
Hi there! I know this is an old video but hoping you still check this. Does the addition of the 185lb bumper with winch sag your front? I also have a diesel and looking to add the same bumper. And also since you've installed it, are you still liking it? Thanks!
I have not experienced any sag that I notice. I also have the winch up front to add some more weight on top of that. As for the bumper, I still love it. Works great and the finish has held up well.
Good video. Thank you. FYI: The 2020 Colorado must have a larger coolant reservoir. I had to rotate the hose/regulator assembly downward (toward the intake air box) in order to make it fit. Just loosen the single nut on the baffle in order to rotate it. Otherwise the mounting bracket fit/functioned as portrayed in this video. I did smooth the edges and add some padding/gaskets to select places on the bracket. Other side note: I left all of my wiring and the on/off switch in the engine compartment. I attempted to use a fuse tap to run the hot lead through the ignition switch. My Colorado did NOT like this with resulting "hey dummy, don't do that to me..." messages. The check engine light cleared itself, but my auto headlamps are acting goofy.
Video was very helpful as I have been trying to get some measurements for the touchscreen model. I have a project where it will occupy some space next to a GMRS radio so based on the dimensions the touchscreen was the right choice for me. Thanks again.
Hi. I have this bumper on my 19 TRD PRO ( I have a vid on it uploaded if your interested) and would love to put on my 19 ZR2. I have gotten conflicting info these will not fit with the ZR2 package. Any ideas what the issues is? I am a union millwright with a miller welder and plasma torch so mods don’t scare me. Thanks for the info
Very. Good. Thank you. It’s exactly what I want. I have a 2019 Colorado ZR2, & this is what I need done. I’m up in Calgary, Ab. We have lots of freeze/thaw, as well as -30C temps. I’m liking your video because it’s great, and I need to show this to whomever will be installing my rack system. I too have a canopy (Leer), and need seemless / level transition between cab & canopy. Thanks again. Cheers.
How did you get a Rigid Adapt light bar work with this system???? I have both and would love to be able to at least use my sPod to turn it on to the last known setting etc.. Id love to know what you did..
There is a set of wires that plugs in to the control box of the rigid adapt light bar. Two of these wires is where you would normally attach a switch or the sPOD.
@@offroadtails5948 Based on the Rigid Diagram I am confused which two wires it is? Very glad you were able to get it working so I know there is hope. s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/rigid-images/dev/Original/10001/RIGD_Adapt_Instructions.pdf
I love ARB but this is a little heavy duty for the colarado IMO.. Plus, the match up to the fenders is surprisingly far for a ARB quality product. I like that you took the chance and bought a high quality product (bumper & adapt).
Great video. I love my 40" Adapt bar that I have on my Tacoma. Yes this light bar draws a decent amount of power. I have a 2018 Tacoma and after about 8 months the light bar started to flicker one night. It was the battery. The battery was only getting 7v to the light. Which is not enough to power the bar. I switched out the factory battery with a deep cell. My light has worked perfect ever since. Plus I run more accessories and more lights off it now. Your issue you mentioned in the below comments about the trigger wire that is meant to hook to a standard switch. I am not familiar with this wire and I tell all customers to run the light bar directly off the switch panel that has been provided. Have you had any issues with the provided switch panel/controller?
Hello, i really need help. i have got some problems with installing this light bar. When i finished connecting the wire, the DRL of the light bar light up, then i pressed the power button on dash controller there was no primary light on bar, then i noticed the light of the middle measurement(spot mode i think)on dash controller disappeared as long as I released the power button. Do you know what’s wrong with it? I’ve been struggling for 7 days. Thank you so much.
Now that you've had this for nearly 1.5 years, what are your thoughts? I imagine I'd never use the gimmicky colored lights, but the spot/flood range and gps seem like they'd be great for remote areas at night. Thanks! This is still the only review I've found on this light bar.
Great Comment. It is funny because I use the Amber back-lighting every night I drive. I use it as a running light on the vehicle. Plus when I am posted up at events I have the back-light on rotating through all the colors and it draws a lot of attention.
Great Video, really good presentation, very appreciated :-) how does the Spod compare to the Switchpro unit? Does anybody have opinions of the pros & cons or opinions between the two manufacturers?
I personally would not purchase the SPOD again with some of the new issues I am experiencing. I will be posting a video soon with an update after having this for about 1 year. I have no experience with the switch pro however.
@@offroadtails5948 where is your update video you said you would post as to why you wouldn’t purchase the Spod again with some of the new issues your having. Would like to know as I’m trying to decide which to buy between the Spod and Switch Pro. Thanks!
