Great explanation! 🙌 if I do the double combo router/modem I have with a 3 pack Eero mesh, is it essential requirement to put my existing combo router into bridge mode? If so does that mean the security settings on that existing combo router carries over to the eero’s or what would happen with my existing security settings in my existing combo router? I heard that the eero’s security settings are behind a paywall and not sure what sort of security is even on the eero’s. Hope you can advise, thank you.
@@Mystic.Legend. •Yes, it is typically essential to put your existing combo router/modem into bridge mode when using an Eero mesh system to avoid network conflicts. Security settings from your combo router/modem do not directly carry over to Eero once it is in bridge mode; Eero manages its own security settings. Eero provides basic security features for free, with more advanced features available through their Eero Secure subscription. Before setting up your Eero system, it's a good idea to review the specific security features included and decide if you want to opt for additional features through the subscription service based on your security needs and preferences. Hope it helps!
@@devicessetup thanks for the information. But I assume I could just plug the Eero directly into my existing combo modem/router and just set it up without having to either do bridge mode or double natting right? It would just route wifi traffic from the existing router?
it will tell you it is up to date even when it is not. I have two identical units. Both were on an old version and only yet only one said it needed to be updated. The 2nd unit responds 'this unit is up to date'.
I wish the camera would allow battery recharging while the camera is still online. The app never seems to show an increase in the battery level while it is online and plugged in to charge. I always have to turn the camera completely off and then charge the battery. Then go through the whole sequence of bringing the camera online again.
very very bad extender and setup. if you use a phone on the wifi it will NOT automatic change to the stronger extender if it still have just a little signal from the first extender... my advise is, delete this video, this is so so wrong
Are you able to keep the starlink wifi active and add the home router hardwired to the GEN 3 unit and then add a separate home wifi to the home router?
Thank you for your video. Can you disable the camera from the app. In other words, if I do not wish the camera to record for a period of time, can I disable it remotely without having to climb up and disable it manually? Thank you for your time.
Help with the battery pro 2k iv Tried all the steps but the disconnect in the modem and router would that really work and what does that do should I try it
Connect ethernet cable from modem to the router's wan port if u have modem. In case you have internet cable directly coming from ISP then plug it directly into the routers wan port. Next connect another ethernet cable from routers lan port to your computer then access this ip address on ur computer to start ur router setup.
Simply reset the extender, by pressing the reset button on it using a pin or paper clip for around 10 seconds while the ext is plugged in to a power source, and after 10 secs let the ext reboot. AND THEN set it up again.
