We stayed here with our touring caravan at the end of July/beginning of August. Couldn't fault the site, friendly welcome, very peaceful, beautiful view of Table Mountain, the facilities were kept spotless and were well designed. Our first time in this area of the country and we found so much to do, the Big Pit and the Brecon steam railway were two favourites for us. Crickhowell is a lovely town, we ate at the Dragon Inn and Latte Da is also very good for a coffee and cake or light lunch with a pretty garden at the rear.
Very good and fair review, just returned from an Adriatic/Mediterranean cruise on this vessel, where it was the flattest we’ve ever experienced, felt like we were in a hotel for the week.
There were two stops just 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. The one we got was here w3w.co/darns.envisioned.tramps The other was here w3w.co/ignores.slim.receives Both were on the beach road. Here's the link to their website traintour.gr Hope this helps.
Thank you :) ….. yes the bus stop is just at the end of the road (5 minutes walk away). I think there is a link in the description to the location of the bus stop.
Cassy it was great - low to mid 20's. This was our first visit to Crete and dont know if this was typical. But as you can see from the video (which was filmed end of October / beginning November) it was pretty good.
great video, just a couple of points, cruise the med in summer or a bigger more modern ship and you won't feel a thing unless the sea is really rough. The advice for mobile data is at sea turn it off at all times as the maritime rate makes cruise ship wifi rates seem a bargain. Sometimes you are lucky and you keep a signal for a while but once it drops the last thing you want is connecting to the maritime network.
Hi there how late Iate in October did you you visit. We booked 28th till 4th November. Was the weather good and was the entertainment on around the end of the month?
25 of us from our swim team heading for a swim camp in May. Plenty of training in the Olympic pool and plenty of partying between sessions. Age range from 20 to 76. We'll have a blast.
It was lovely hearing about your experiences of your first cruise. We've done 26 now, all on Marella!! The Discovery 2 is our favourite ship in the fleet.
It's 14/03 2024.. Just saw your video now. We're going on exactly the same cruise tomorrow ( 15 03/24 ) . This is the first video we've seen covering Agadir , we've booked the Taroudant trip . Can't wait 😊😊.
@@cledwynontour5848 it was because unlike the others I've seen your cruise applied to us . We live in South Wales and we're flying from Bristol at 11:05 tomorrow morning 👍.
Yes you can feel the motion. On the first night last friday, we were in the bar when ship set sail and everyone was unstable, It was a rough week and you do feel the motion, but its not unbearable. you get used to it and your body compensates. we noticed how much it compensated when we went on land, as we looked peeesed walking along the portside
So honest question mate me and the wife are looking at doing the explorer next may.....in your honest opinion cam you feel the ship movements as it goes through the water? I hate water as it is lol
The nice thing about Canarian Flavors cruise is that you sail overnight (apart from one day). The first night we didn't even notice that we had set sail. Nights 2 and 3 were "very choppy". I slept through on both nights (but did feel the movement). My wife suffers with vertigo also so that added to the effect. After that it was fine. Our cruise was in February so still in "Winter", I'm guessing May should be calmer as it's summer? Hope that helps :)
@cledwynontour5848 our literary shows one full day at sea. Was the movements bad? As in side to side up and down? We are looking at may next year for corfu Slovenia montenegro and Croatia. Just a little worried I'll freak at a bad sailing night
@@twistedwelshtv3800We did that cruise last year on Explorer 2 in July. I am very travel sick and I only felt ship movements a couple of times in the theatre at night. I wore my travel bands one night but didn’t need to take a single tablet the whole week. We were in an inside cabin midship on deck 9
Hi and thanks for your video. Myself and my husband are going to this hotel in Feb. First Tim in Lanzarote. Do you have any advice regarding transfers from the airport to the hotel. Any help is much appreciated as the cost when we look it up on line seems crazy for the short distance. Thanks a bunch Carrie.
Hi Carrie ... our coach transfers were included in our package deal. The airport is only 10 miles or so from the airport and there were plenty of taxis available when we landed. Maybe email the hotel to get their advice?
