hello Andrew, nicely done app using cardservice, i am facing bit problem i have created addon which function well from addon side image, but it is not displaying the addon from the menu which is created same like your it is not triggering hompage function, can you help me out ?
hello brother, is it possible that automatically when a member fills in their date of birth data on the Google form, it will be filled in automatically on the calendar, and there will be a birthday notification every year on the calendar?
Nice and straight to the point presentation of this new interesting feature. However when accessing such dropdown list from a mobile touch device, I cannot find a way to multiselect, it looks like it falls back to single selection mode which is a problem
@@BetterSheets Well we implemented it but the chart is outside of the screensize and there's no ability to scroll so how do we constrain the chart size to the window dimensions? FYI, I've moved the chart to it's own sheet.
Good video. I'm more interested in how to import a flat text file that contains fixed width fields. Especially a file that contain various data types(integers, dates, times, etc.).
👍🏻 It would be Very Helpful if you could also mention in these demos, how to achieve the same thing in the Google Sheets app. For example, in this case: the app doesn't seem to have an import option, so you need to open the CSV file directly from a file explorer into the Google Sheets app. This will close any sheet you were working on, and present the parsed CSV file in a temporary sheet, from which you can select the range you want and copy it to the clipboard. Then open the sheet you want the data in, and paste the clipboard contents there.
@@BetterSheets Yes, that's my point. There's a large overlap as far as formulas go, but the interfaces differ sometimes to the point of having a feature missing. Or needing a workaround, like in this case. And that's why covering these differences would be helpful.
Google Sheets is my only option, given that my primary device is an Android smartphone, and that Excel on Android is 🤮. However, it is extremely frustrating to me how dumbed-down it is on Android .. eg: although it _supports_ named ranges, you can't create or edit them! And to rub salt into that particular wound .. with Google Sheets for Android installed, i don't even have the OPTION of running the browser version (in order to say, create a named range!), as the Android app always takes over. So, many of the juicy features of Sheets are out of reach and that's irritating!
@BetterSheets Love this! Thanks much for sharing. Do you have any documentation showing countdown in Months, Weeks, Days, and Hours to an event? The months and weeks is what's confusing to me. Many thanks for your time!
@@BetterSheets i think our data should be atleast end to end encrypted for people who want to store confidential information on the sheets? and even for people who want to collaborate and share sheets, i am sure a lot of them wouldnt like any unauthorized person accessing their sheets?
Why start the very first example with a chain of 4 methods, when functions most of the time work with arguments instead of grabbing data from fixed sheet cells? You sure you don't want to scare people as the JS bible did? haha
@@BetterSheets it say its on the website, even though I have it so that Anyone can have access. We are using google sites, but even when I embed it into a dummy site it tells me the same thing
hello and thank you very much for giving me templates I still have a few questions, is it impossible to add several APIs to my Google sheets this is what I would like to do hello would this API allow me to do image processing? do you also use software like our automation codes like make? and finally I wanted to ask you another question regarding APIs and Google sheet, do you use this method? could I write to you
image processing is not that useful in sheets. because images are not in sheets, and so you'd just be using URLs of images online somewhere. and google drive makes it hard to find the actual url of an image saved in a drive folder/file. It's not impossible but it's hard. and yes you can add several apis to a google sheet.
