Most of this stuff will only make sense if you're playing The House, using the World of Darkness rules from White Wolf Game Studio, or Black Jacks, using the Savage Worlds Adventure Edition rules, or the Alvarado High School Golden Warrior Band. Or my family.
Most of this will be RPG related from now on. I live in north Texas, and I've been playing RPGs for 40+ years, most of that time with the 2 guys who got me hooked on this stuff in the first place, and also my wife, son, and a close circle of friends.
Yeah... It'll never happen. They're all playing cheesy pop crap these days. They had lightning in a bottle, and they let Ana Lovelis throw it all away on their behalf.
I played shadow dark twice one with Kelsi and another with a different guy I played reverse dcc this cyber punk game dungeons and dragons and some others
I support games that are neither Dungeons nor Dragons. More importantly, I support well written games, with thoughtful mechanics, like Shadowdark, Savage Worlds, ICRPG, and EZD6. So, thank you, sir, for writing this gem!
Old School Revival. There are dozens of OSR games on the market, including Old School Essentials, Dungeon Crawl Classics, Basic Fantasy, Swords & Wizardry, Hyperborea, etc. Most of these attempt to clone or recreate the feeling of earlier versions of D&D, though a few go their own way (DCC starts with the Appendix N references in the 1e DMG and builds out from there, taking the very core mechanics of D&D and adding some newer stuff, and a lot of it is also derived from 3.5). What Kelsie did in Shadowdark was use 5e as the base, scuttle all of the bloat in that system, and replace it with some cool OSR stuff.
I must disagree. The guitar sound really really sucks. If they could have had good production like 13 and copied that sound, it would be a hundred times better. Every instrument sounds like they were recorded in a trash can. I blame 90% of the bad sound of this album on the guitar. The other is the distance between the drums, vocals and guitar. They just aren't mixed together. This song and slaughterhouse road were 5 out of 10 rating. The other songs are 2s. If they replace the guitar sound and remix it, it would be way better, but still pretty bad. And this has been my favorite band. Also what made it worse was the look. The look changed on this album way more than any other. The pig mask sucks and so does gravy's. Mushroomhead was cool because they were like a unit. The military style and each member had the same kind of mask yet each had its own personality to it. This album had them all be their own seperate thing. It was like they stopped caring and just wear anything. The band lost the cohesiveness that made them special. I also hated Jeffery copying horror movie look. He was no longer wearing the x look on his face. And until gravy and pig benis left, the sound and the masks sucked. Waylon's too. But also saviour sorrow was pretty bad too. That album was better but that's when the guitar sound changed. For some reason that guitar sound really threw off the mixing. Plus Bronson left and gravy was the only one writing guitar so there was no longer 2 guitars to fill in the sound. Plus the riffs were just average. Nothing really good. I think the vocals carried that album. It wasn't until jmann came back that they all uniformed up again and looked like a unit again. The album grew on me too. Out of my mind brought back the sound and the look in the video. I just missed Jeff's face paint. His finger mask and coat with skin pieces on it made him kind of stand apart from them. The new album has grown on me. The look has come back and is updated, so it's not just repeating the past. The new singers are good.bibhooe the next will be good again. But too many members have been replaced.

These guy's are ridiculously impressive I love it when a band has the ability to blow me away musically. The whole sound is just (sic) not to mention the lead singer has a perfect voice for metal
There is doom in the words of the fallen Blinding the minds of the young There are truths in the lies of forgiveness Fall down and worship the sun Fall down Inspiration A storm is coming th hell with redemption Save yourself and hear the word of the fallen A storm is coming to hell with redemption Inspiration Command meant nothing to me My loss is not crossing the sea On my feet You baptized me don't you see? I choose not to believe I can't ignore your lack of intellect Inspiration comes and goes Hindsights taught me Some kind of self respect
Funny how the words in this song is what Julia should be saying to the rest of these backstabbing women for kicking her out of her own band and then lying that they didn't kick her out.
