Man that has some great 303 sounds and effects.. even off RU-vid and out of my crap laptop speakers I can hear the effects... Did you process the track in anyway outside of the 707? does it have a song record function or mixout?
@@DJCJ999 thanks so much and glad you liked it! All internal sounds and effects no external processing. There is a song mode kind of with scenes you can create. There is a stereo mix out. The 707 is a beast and very capable device
I use my phone to record the video and my laptop to record the audio from the 707 with a usb cable. The 707 is class compliant usb so just plug and play. Make sure you have the latest firmware update from the Roland website. After I import the video from my phone into the laptop and make sure the video and audio are synched and export as a video. Hope that helps
@@WizardOfTheKremlin wow thanks so happy you like it! Yeah I think I will start to release my music this year, probably with distrokid through websites and Spotify etc. When the tracks are available I will make a video to announce. Again thanks for all the kind words bro!
Amazing! That's one of the best live performances I've heard so far on the MC707! Please consider the kick is a little weak in the mix. Sorry if that's overly critical.
Nice acid raw tracks :) now you need to add DAW or DAWlesss effects and more space into the sound design, transitions etc. Roland groove boxes are great but they sound pretty flat out of the box if you don't tune these samples. They're not much of a standalone compared to the Elektron machines with which you can layer on each tracks effects, sound design, compression etc.
You just have to be patient and find your own workflow. there are always phases of uncreativity but i also made tracks in two hours. at the moment I'm working on my own samples with Cubasis on the iPad. you simply can't create rumble sounds on the 707, but they are necessary for punchy, driving techno. the 707 is just very limited in the effects section, I would like to be able to use several effects at the same time. maybe in the future.
@@BuzzDG I agree with its limitations on the effects. Great idea using cubasis to create your own samples. I’m going to start using my laptop and a daw to try and spice things up too, then import some more sounds. I hope the 707 continues to be updated by Roland
@@BuzzDG I've found a decent workaround for those rumbles on the MC-101, which should be easily recreatable on the 707. Using kicks at lower velocities on every non-kick step in your pattern (so for example on steps 2-3-4, 6-7-8, 10-11-12, 14-15-16 for a "four on the floor" kick pattern). Obviously this also works for whatever other sub rhythms you want to include in your rumble since you can control velocity per step. Alternatively you can use another pad in a drum channel for another kick with different EQing in the pad settings for better rumble control. For multiple effects, using one pad and always having it active in scatter is the best you can do, but it really limits performability of the drum channel if you were planning on using scatter for slicing or filters or whatever.
Sounds good! A lot of people seem to gravitate towards MPCs, Akai Force or Maschine Plus but I've had my MC707 for 2 months & love it! You can create an entire album on this beast! Some think it's only good for electronic stuff but you can do almost any genre really. Any keyboard, synth, guitar, bass, e-drum kit, microphone/vocals, wave file etc can be put into 707. There's a slight learning curve with the menus and using the shift button a lot but there's plenty of YT tutorials including official ones from Roland. It's one of my top 3 favorite pieces of gear in my home studio one man band setup. I sometimes hook my Roland FA07 to MC707 as a controller and it works great. Keep up the good tunes! ✌️
Thanks so much! Really appreciate it! 😃 Completely agree with you and the 707 is a beast with so much built into it. If you put the time into it you get rewarded massively! I didn’t want to go down the akai route of staring at a screen and NI maschine. Glad you are enjoying your 707. I’m still learning it as I’ve only had it since January. Once again thanks for listening and the kind words!
