"Pretty much all air cooled cars smell the same" yeah- burning oil from numerous leaks of the essential coolant/lubricant. Gives a very definite smell and 964's especially are prone to it! Ask me how I know! BTW you don't mention if this is a C2 or C4 964. Since the badge is removed off the engine lid no way to know for sure. I'm assuming C2... edit- C4 it is- had to go a ways back on his IG posts to find it badged... also seeing all 4 wheels spinning on the Salt Flats was fairly confirming

Doesn’t mean I agree, but aren’t you the one to enlighten the World as I have been riding them for decades as well... The strangest thing I was shooting silver in Leicas professionally decades ago, good luck in your pursuit and what a difference in approach as to the using a political statement in a Forum that has diverse views. Edit to the story to that you would like to convey or expect a response. Maybe that was what you wanted. I did prefer the 120mm format in the Mamiya duel leans reflex and actually started with a Speed Graphex in 4x5, in school. But I date myself... What do you have against Motorcycles? @@cw5865 I'm glad to see support of BLM in the content- if you're not- go somewhere else. I'm always surprised when a racist comments and shows their true colors. Let me guess- you were in law enforcement and somehow think that the BLM movement is anti-police instead of anti-killing-of-unarmed people of color. SHM is right. No logic- no facts- just sad fear. If you want to drive to Denver you can shoot my black 1990 C4 with Fabspeed headers- Steve Wong chip and modified suspension... it too sounds epic- just not as loud! I'm not sure that this was the "first 964 to have E88 custom wheels". I had them built out by BBS North America over 4 years ago for my 964 widebody C4. They are truly beautiful and made to order. Had to do a lot of research (and math) to get the fitment dead on.
I'm pretty sure he meant historically- the 964's back in the early 90's were fitted with them for competition. He wasn't claiming his were the first- just that this series of 911's were.

You have to see my 69 911E RS-lightweight tribute, 3.6 twin plugged with 46-Webers..engine resembles the 67 911R...the only period-correct 3.6..here's the kicker; owned for 34 years & counting. Certified, recognized, bonafide real RGRUPPE 911. 😎✌
