Hello. Do you have experience creating a variable pitch auger? This is the feed screw on the bottle conveyor. So that after developing a 3D model and manufacturing it on a CNC machine, the auger actually works on the equipment
Interesting, but it's inexact because you had to type in the angle, which is a numerical approximation and not analytic. Notice how when you were measuring the side lengths to compare, you weren't measuring more precise than the decimal point. You can make an exact dodecahedron by using 3D sketch, but it takes a few more steps.
Use angle 26.565 for 3 digit precision and use the formula for inscribed radius en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regular_dodecahedron for more accurate height. I was able to get 3 digits measured precision which is better than any of the printing of the shape I will get.
Really a very interesting project these particular "toroidal propellers" but do you think they could be tried on any kind of light drone or is there a need for specific motors? And also their peculiarity is to increase the maneuverability of the aerobable or rather the speed and evolutions?
Hi, Gino! I think that of course they can be tested on any light drone and some people already do this as I see on RU-vid. There are a lot of variations in this design, the optimal bending parameters and the types of engines used for their application have yet to be found by aerospecialists and ordinary drone enthusiasts.🙂 Thanks for watching and your comment 👍🏻
