@@BuildYourOwnAdventure would it be cheaper to get a broken down golf cart that is destroyed for like 300 to rebuild or just buy a used one for like 1500-2500
I got one used window for free and the others I purchased from Amazon. I would recommend buying new so you get the correct thickness for your wall. Yes, I’d recommend them. They have worked well for us. There’s a link for the windows we used in the description.
Hi there. I have a new Aliner and I can’t get it plugged in correctly. You say give it a slight twist but ours will not twist at all. The black ring won’t thread on. I don’t know what to do.
Sometimes I can’t get the black ring to thread correctly. I usually just get it on there the best I can. They are problematic but your plug should be fine as long as no one pulls the cord. Check the plug to see if it specifies twisting, some may not. If you have pushed the plug all the way in and you still don’t have power, check to be sure the 30A breaker is on in the electrical panel.
Get a 2nd gen tundra with a 38 gallon tank. Problem solved. I can go 600 miles on a full tank. And when I’m pulling my 10,000 35 ft camper i can get 320 miles which ain’t bad in my opinion pulling a heavy load
Nope. We built it to camp in with our family with hopes of buying a side by side and other toys to carry around. I would honestly say we never finished it. Over the four years of owning and camping in it, we constantly made changes. It was the best part of building our own. The down side to building a toy hauler is having to have furniture and sleeping areas that are portable and not as private for a large family. There were also several RV resorts geared toward families that we wanted to visit that didn’t allow conversions. We ended up buying a bunkhouse camper that’s a better fit for us.
I'm a bit late to the party here but I am genuinely curious. You mentioned in the video you have 3 kids. I am really interested in buying one of these one day, but I will also likely have 3 kids one day. Is there enough room in the back seat to have all 3 back there on a 2+hour road trip?
Thanks for your comment! We took many long trips in our Titan and it had plenty of room in the back for our kids. You should have no issues. Unless you are connected to a gooseneck or fifth wheel, go ahead and add a bed cover. This will help with storing all the extra stuff you have to bring along. Believe me.. there will be so many extra items once you have kids! Thanks for watching.
Thoroughly enjoyed these videos Adam and I'm sure the memories with the family are timeless. I have a lot of memories from all the trips we took going up and down the New England coast camping growing up.
JUST AN IDEA CAN YOU USE A DRILL ON IT ? MAYBE MODIFY SOME TOOL TO FIT IT. MAKE IT A LOT EASIER/CHEAPER FOR YOU. YOUR FAMILY AND CONVERSION MAKES ME WANT TO DO THIS IF ONLY I WERE 40 YEARS YOUNGER! LOL
We used 4” eternabond tape around the roof perimeter, then painted the entire roof with sealant. Then we sealed around all running lights and other exterior features with lexel sealant. If you have rivets, go through and replace any that are loose.
You did a great job ! We’d have to have a smaller trailer because our pickup is a 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road, double cab with a 6’ bed. The maximum towing capacity is 6,500 #. I don’t want to over work our (my) truck. I plan on driving it until I die. I’m quite sure that my wife will still be using my truck to plow the 5-7 ft of snow off our private road until she dies.
Thank you so much! You should be able to find a cargo trailer to fit your needs. While the towing capacity is important, be sure to pay close attention to the payload on your Tacoma and try to stay well within that rating. Tacomas are great trucks and it should last you a long time! Thanks for watching!
Got my mirror all apart without breaking a thing, just for my mirrors to be aftermarket so the wires for the lights are hardwired so now I have to find some plug online to make these lights work. Or buy new mirrors
No way! I would reach out to Boost Auto and see if they can offer any advice. Those guys are well versed in the wiring for these lights and may be able to help you locate a connector.
Good video. My first cut was a small door window (thinner walls) and supposed to be 1 3/8" thick. When the window arrived it was 1 1/2 " so I had to make my own trim ring to make up the difference inside. Always check the reviews in the description because people will tell you that "the size is off". I suggest small pilot holes all the way through the wall from the inside in the middle of all four sides of the window, then trace your outside line over painters tape that you put over the holes on the outside. Start on the inside and cut the plywood only with a shorter blade jigsaw first, then on the outside, make a larger pilot hole inside your line and use tins snips to cut the metal. I used a 5-inch blade to clear the whole wall at once (bad idea). I I started from the outside on my first window and no matter how careful I was the blade found its own path on the inside and the trim ring didn't fit. I spent an hour cleaning it up but couldn't do anything about the over cut plywood on the bottom lip of the inside window wall. You could be dead-on the outside line but the blade will curve as you cut. Also, the most important thing before you even start is to make sure the trailer is perfectly level. Don't measure from the ceiling, floor, or wall stud screws. Nothing is even.
@@BuildYourOwnAdventureooooo ok makes sense. May need to get a diesel f350. My wife’s cousin has one and has had it for years now. She also does a lot of hauling and traveling in it
Hi! I recently bought a jayco jayflight 232rb and we have the iRV29 radio system. We turned it on the other day to listen to it and it connected to Bluetooth no problem, but we had no sound from speakers. We switched to AM/FM and still no sound from speakers. We turned both zones on and all the way up and still heard nothing. We have already checked wiring, fuses, hard reset on the radio, unplugged all the wires and then plugged them back in, we double checked the wiring diagram in the manual and still nothing. Do you have any other tips or tricks we should try? I've read a lot of forums and people have bought new radios and it still didn't fix the issues. Jayco service center is pretty swamped so I was trying to fix it at home instead of waiting for them. Any insight would be helpful. Thank you! Brooklyn
Sounds like you've done a great job diagnosing the problem. If others are having problems with new radios, it makes me think that there are wiring issues between the speakers and radio. Could be a short in one of the wires that would cause the internal amp to short out and not produce sound. Possibly a screw/nail through a wire?? My next step would be connecting a speaker directly to each set of speaker wires coming out of the radio. This would require cutting your speaker wires going into the radio. It would eliminate any wiring issues between the radio and the speakers. Be sure not to cut your wires too close to the wiring harness so you can splice them back together once you have found the problem.
Hi! Thank you for the video, it explained a few things I still had questions about - but I have a question. When I put a DVD into the disc reader, it plays the sound that indicates the DVD menu is opening, but nothing on my TV changes. How do I get the DVD to display on my tv? (Inputs didn’t work, as the only options were HDMI1, TV, and Samsung TV Home.)
i don't need the 30 i don't have a camper. im in c.c. tx. I wanna use it in case of a hurricane. And I lose power. will it run a 8000btu ac and Frigerator. wifi and tv a couple of laps.
That is tough to answer without knowing the ratings for each appliance. Just an average 8000 btu AC uses somewhere in the range of 2500 watts. You should be able to find how many watts your refrigerator uses on the label. It's going to use more when the compressor turns on and then level out at a lower wattage. This generator has a running wattage of just over 3500 watts. Your TV and wifi shouldn't use much, but they will add to the draw. Depending on the fridge size, I think it can do it, but you may be close to the overload point.
@@BuildYourOwnAdventure lol i went back to your channel so i could thank you by name. and saw the Wen 3800, know I'm going to look into that one. thank you so much. you were very helpful.
@@davidsalinas4872 they are both great units. We’ve had both for several years and never had an issue with either. The Wen has electric start which is very nice and in the past it was cheaper than the Champion. I haven’t checked prices in a while but you can’t go wrong with either unit. Glad the info was helpful and thank you for watching our channel.
an 8000 BTU AC uses at most 800 watts RUNNING - surge is at most 2500 watts for 2-3 seconds... you don't say what size refrigerator - could be anywhere from a few amps to 15 amps... look at the info plates on each appliance and add up the amps...
Enjoying following along, I can't wait to do the same at some point. My sister did a cross country trip some years ago and it is unbelievable what you're able to see in that part of the country. Hope you've enjoyed your trip of a lifetime!
If it’s listed that way, you would normally turn the knob to “pilot”. Then push and hold the knob in and turn the igniter until it lights. You will have to hold the knob in for around 20-30 seconds so the pilot lights stays on. Once the pilot light stays on without holding the knob in, you can turn the knob to your desired temperature. Hope this helps.
Here again... manual states that the volume button can also operate subwoofer, bass, treble, and balance. Has anyone been able to change their bass or Treble on the iRV62? THANK YOU!
@BuildYourOwnAdventure I actually figured it out. I held the volume button in and it came up and said USA then I was able to switch to Europe but when that happened, it canceled all of my preset stations. Pressed Volume again and it can switch from Bass to Treble and something else. Found similar info when I Google it and was in a Forest River forum.
