Just found this channel and subscribed. I'm on a similar path - learnt some classical and flamenco guitar as a teenager. Could sight read in the key of C but nothing more. Now a lot older and just returned to it. Amazingly some of the muscle memory is still there, which has helped a lot. The sight reading is a struggle with the memory not what it once was, but determination is there. I'm aiming for jazz too, and have a few Berklee books that I've begun working through. It's inspiring to see someone like you further down the road and making such progress. I'd love to attend Berklee as a student but I'm not in the USA, but wondering about the online option.
I like your melodies. Keep it up! One recommendation would be to lock in to the time more. Tap your foot with the metronome so that you can really solidify tour rhythm. Good luck. Wish you the best. 👍
I studied with a guy who studied with the composer of this tune. Apparently, was written by Chuck Wayne and was called Sonny! Also Miles Davis changed a major chord to minor and apparently had this tune written on his Gravestone?
