Awesome bro! 😁 That's wild, first I found you through one of my favorite passions, (boxing/ur shorts, including Eminem music, literally my biggest musical influence... Em for rapping & Dre for producing); then you found my music and subbed/commented, so I come back to check out ur channel and low and behold, we apparently ALSO share a passion for both retro gaming AND synthwave music! hahaha I even started making synthwave on the side, bc I just love it so much... Hip-Hop is my thing, but Synthwave just hits different.... nothing quite like it imo. One day ill be able to start building my own legit arcade room too, always been a side-dream/goal of mine.... I just play emulators on the big 65" flatscreen, on PC, with an old corded Xbox 360 controller. Love Marvel vs Capcom too btw, I've been playing Street Fighter since I was born basically 😂😂😂 In fact, those retro games are legit the only thing that kept me sane throughout certain years of my musical/artistic journey, when shit got so rough and endlessly & brutally difficult, especially making my last album 'Nightmarez' (*named for that exact reason, among others... bc my life was like one big Nightmare that seemed to culminate during the making of that album). The side-scroll platformers are my favorite games of all time tho. Especially the Sonic games on SEGA Genesis, Mario World on SNES... I try anything, but those are the ones I always go back to that just make me feel happy and have fun no matter what. The music, the gameplay, all of it... it's like my safe space from life. But the one game that REALLY got me through that period, possibly my favorite classic game of all time, shit, ANY game of all time tbh... Donkey Kong Country 1 on SNES. The music from that game especially, just something about it sooths my soul, I've never found anything quite like it. I swear you can actually hear the influence of that game in that Nightmarez album... if you're familiar enough with music and DKC. Specifically the aong 'My Name Iz'... which I didn't even know was happening til after it was released 🤣 I play newer games too, and everything in between I can get an emulator for... playing COD MW3 (2022) rn too, getting ready for Black Ops 6....... but I always come back to those retro console games, and arcade games. Idk what it is. I even started a side-seroes on my channel called Retro Gaming Breakz, and released one 3hr long episode playing DKC 1, complete with my own very first Synthwave song & credit sequences for the intro/outro. I later made it hidden, bc I don't feel like it reflects my music, and might eventually get me some bad mixed reactions if kids are coming for the games then they find my music, which can be extremely harsh and serious, bc it's a reflection of my f'd up life and my journey trying to make it from a life of crime, drugs, and darkness... to eventually, hopefully, the light, and a truly positive outcome after many years of struggle and growth. Idk, maybe I'm wrong and can bring back the show at some point... who knows. But until then, I'll keep coming back to the retro games in private.. for peace, sanity, and fun... bc they just don't make 'em like they used to! 😂 Anyway I'm droppin a whole novel in ur comments section rn, so ill leave it at that for now.... but this was cool bro! 💯 PS.. now I have to play some classic games real quick before I finish and release this new track/lyric-vid! 😆

I don't think I'm very good at the original DK tho. Those are very hard games, prob why I just stick to the SNES and Wii ones... but I'm gonna try again now knowing that! 😂 I just knew he loves football and boxing... had no idea he was a gamer of any kind. Thanks for the vid, brings back some good memories. Needless to say, you're really good at DK. However, don't you think that the pie factory stage would be a little more challenging (perhaps ALOT more) if the player was forced to go all the way up to the platform that Pauline is on to complete the stage? One would think the programmer would of programmed the game for that to happen. A little code modification I think would do the trick.
