I just had my year 10 mocks and baring in mind I hadn't passed a single history exam this year I was stressed. not only did your videos help me understand the layout of my answers but are responsible for me achieving a grade 8!!! I cant explain how thankful I am for these videos!!!

I completed Year 12 in the early 1990's but as a history nerd, I found this series fascinating! All I can say is I don't remember learning even half this much in school about the history of medical advances! (Or perhaps I had but could not remember lol) Thank you so much for sharing this information. Your delivery is very clear and concise. Extremely easy to listen to.
I'm a little confused, Hill 60 was related to the 2nd battle of Ypres, no? Yes the 3rd battle was known as the battle of the mud but I was reading up and my textbook says it's the 2nd and it's what i have written down in my previous notes from class. The battle for Hill 60 started Apr 1915, that's the 2nd battle of Ypres?
Hi there! In this battle, I’ve used blue for the Saxons and Green for the Vikings. The Vikings were defending and lost this battle, it defeated their invasion.
My GCSE's are in 2026 so I have an assessment and the 2 mark describe features question is on "Describe one feature of the Puritan challenge to Elizabeth I (2 marks)". I was wondering if i could write this. Please let me know if this would get .2/2; 'One feature of the Puritan challenge were the controversy surrounding crucifixes. Puritans disliked crucifixes as they weren't mentioned in the Bible and claimed that they diverted attention from God but Elizabeth liked decoration and crucifixes as well as had to keep some Catholicism present in Church to establish a middle ground'.

And 2 piece of evidence for stop Puritanism spreading, thank u so much for all ur videos, you have helped me tremendously with all ur hard work and know I have 3 paragraphs written to the best of my ability
I'm sure you'll do great! I'm imagining these must be mocks? Remember they're a practice, and that means that they will give you a great snapshot of where you are and what you might want to improve.
you are genuinely the best history teacher ever, literally God BLESS you!!!! ps- i can never get above a 12/16 in the medicine 16 markers so im not sure what im doing wrong? i dont know how to make it concise
Thanks! Glad to help. For the 16 markers, always remember you get 10 marks for analysis and 6 for knowledge. So explain every example and have a really clear and consistent opinion. Give examples that show one view, examples that show the other and then conclude weighing the arguments against each other. You can also explain your agreement or disagreement with a particular view throughout. Keep relating it back to the question.

The communists were very popular with the Vietnamese people over all. They could never have won without most of the peoples support. The Diem regime was extremely brutal. This short history should have given considerably more details of that fact. Diem was never elected by the people and was responsible for thousands of deaths, torture and imprisonment. Ho Chi Minh would have won in a landslide in the nation wide election decided on in the Geneva agreement. Diem and the U.S. knew that very well and never let the election happen.

For the 16 marker and when I wrote my own knowledge, I wrote dat propaganda was spread thru physical and digital, and that from laws that discrimination against Jews was legal and it is illegal to discriminate nazis

Eventually yes! I’m prepping crime and punishment and Cold War first, but I will get to it. It’s the least popular paper 1 option, sadly, so I’m prepping for the demand subjects first.
1. Faster, safer migration west. 2. Railroad companies got 10 square miles of land per mile of track built, leading to more settlement of the plains. 3. Equipment and supplies could be moved west easier. 4. Easier and faster transport of cattle, expanding ranching. 5. Disruption of, and later hunting of, buffalo herds leading to greater reliance on reservations by indigenous people.
