Yes, I am working on the last couple of hours of footage. I do have a behind the scenes footage I can not wait to share. It is such a fun show. Break and leg and I hope you enjoy every minute of your Beauty And The Beast journey!
Yes, I filmed about 15 hours, so It's taking me a while to edit. I direct two casts at the same time, a homeschool cast and a community cast that is ages 7 to 12. The homeschool cast performed 14 shows, because we have field trips for the surrounding schools. Crazy, Right? I have more pictures and commentary on my pinterest page.www.pinterest.com/TheatreMom_Hope
For blocking the scene, they lip-synch to a recording. I didn't know that (it's why I like watching behind-the-scenes stuff like this). I can certainly understand why they do this, when the singing is not (for now) the primary matter at hand. Is this a common practice? Is it particular to younger performers, or would even high school or older troupes do this?
I like to concentrate on blocking the first couple of rehearsals. With 40 plus kids, it is easier to teach them where to enter, exit and move with in a scene first. Different directors have different approaches, I as an actor like to know where I am going first and then build on that. We have 3 hour rehearsals, so the kids spend a certain amount of time in blocking, then choreography, then in music and then we slowly put them all together.
You couldn't have asked for better people to do that show with. That show was the most fun I've ever had. From the director to the last member on the cast list, we had the most beautiful, exceptional and kind hearted cast I've ever witnessed in theatre. Thank you Mrs. Hope for making that one of the best experiences we will ever have in life!
Not gonna lie this is my favorite show🤍thank you so much for letting me in this amazing show! Our first show is tonight an I’m so exited!Love you Mrs.Hope! By the way this is Victoria 😂
Beautiful! I'm 13 yrs old and I've been a Elvis fan since 4 years old and I lovee music also from 1940 to 1980, I just never really got into the music now I guess. I'm glad at what you're doing, keep it up! TCB/TLC💛
Did you notice the error in 'Baby I don't care' . When you see Elvis in close up his band are not wearing dark glasses but then when the camera is far away they are wearing them.
There just will never be another like this guy. He was and is irreplaceable. He naturally had all the ingredients for the world's best entertainer on stage. He simply drove his audiences crazy with excitement. Even the lady sitting in the middle of the couch with her two other friends was in awe of how exciting he was.
Theater MOM: That's brilliant how you put the generations together to show their responses. The youth are the future of the world and if they understand and comprehend then there is hope fall of us.
It is so encouraging to see and hear that the younger generations capture what Elvis is saying. There is hope for all of us now and in the future. A wonderful surprise to know that they understand.
