Is it true that true, traditional wrought iron (which is no longer commercially produced) is naturally rust resistant unlike mild steel. What kind of iron is this?

Do you harden the steel after forming the shovel?

Ever wonder the difference between a hobbiest, a skilled craftsman, and a skilled craftsman who works all day every day? Two out of the three can wear sleeves.

How much does the anvil that is outside beyond the forge weigh? Is it at least 500 pounds? Wow

Finin, lovely video. Any chance of doing a video of making the big rivets you spoke about before? You forged your own tool for making them also...cheers

What steel did you use? How was the eye formed? Was this a solid piece of stock and you punched , drifted the hole? I really enjoy your vids.

Beautiful double gate Finin. Im curious to know how the extra piece in the corners were welded on? The little gusset plate i think its called. DO you have a video of that part? Im guessing it was forged welded on. Keep the videos coming :-)

Thanks for showing how well they work. I need to make a few for myself. I think you may be using a smart phone to record with. My son showed me that if I turned my phone sideways to record that it fills the entire screen instead of the middle 3rd. Looking forward to your next video.
