So true, sometimes the lady with the clearance tags just goes nuts at my local target and practically gives things away. I found some funko Star Wars Phantom Menace comic style pops for $2.50. Always worth a close eye!
@doro626 I backed it because I know if I don't like it I can sell it. I will be able to get back what I spent for it and more. I don't like Haslabs because they are nothing more than Hasbro putting the cost of production on the customer. They are going to get full profit on this because we the customer are paying for it. With more companies providing alternative vehicles I think that would push Hasbro to stop these ridiculous Haslab projects
350 was too much but people are gladly paying 700 for the racer Hasbro shit I got the Dodge label. To put on the car that was cheap and out but it was way better deal if you wanted it for the blade or the Ghostwriter carrot of course you would’ve never got the fast and furious car to Hasbro, but so it worked out to the good we’re always fast and furious fans. So excited about the razor I can’t even smell 700+ all day every day baby
@willieellis7009 you can't be serious, people really out here paying 700 for the Ramen Racer that was 280. That's crazy that's almost a 500 dollar mark up. Some of these toy collectors are really down bad. If they willing to pay this much for a toy I'd hate to see how much they spend on other things
Try telling this to galactus buyers. I had to sell mine at cost. I think it depends on how many are purchased. Not nearly as many sentinels were purchased compared to galactus.
There aren't anymore Galactus available to buy from Hasbro either. I have questions about your sell. Where did you sell your Galactus (eBay, Mercari, Facebook marketplace)? What was the condition of the figure and did you sell it with all the tier unlocks or just the figure by itself? Did you sell it with the original box? I ask these questions because I see Galactus figures selling between $330 and $699. Knowing what you hold is part of reselling. Some times you have to hold onto your items until that one person comes along to buy it. I know there aren't anymore Galactus figures being made so I would not be willing to sell mine (if I had one) for anything under $500. Now if you needed the money quick that is understandable. It all depends on the patience of the seller because most of the Galactus figures have a sale price for more than $400.
@@Figures_of_Action_Reviews Galactus was brand new and all tiers and are consistently selling for $450. He’s 400. You’re probably looking at the posted ones and not sold. Sold there’s not one that sold for $600. Some sold for $350 which is less than retail. The one that sold for higher most likely sold as a best offer for less. eBay is deceiving when they don’t put the price of the best offer accepted in their sold section. I bought from hasbro and sold on EBay. Most resellers are complaining about this as well because it so old for not much over retail. The only reason sentinel sold for almost double is because there was a lot less bought originally on the haslab.
@@Figures_of_Action_Reviews just checked mercari and they’re selling for the Same. None are even close to $600. You have to click on sold. People can post it for however much they want. I even saw a star wars figure the other day for $400, it doesn’t mean it sells for that much. It wasn’t even signed or new. The guy had it listed as new and was clearly out of the package.
Question. Are these Ramen tanks going to be limited to a certain amount or will they sell unlimited amounts? I can see paying $200 but how long will they be selling them for or how many will they sell? By the way I just found your channel and looking to collect for my grandson who is one. Any ideas on what you think will have crazy good value in 20 years? Not giving them to him until he is an adult. Thanks man.
@milescali right now the Ramen Toys website and Big Bad Toy Store are taking preorders which allows them to know how many need to be in production. Now how many will they produce after the preorder period is done I don't know. Like I said if you preorder through Big Bad Toy Store you won't have to pay the full amount until the product ships. So I'm putting my orders in now. Because we also don't know what the preorder cut off number before they run out of preorder space. That happens all the time with Mafex figures.
To answer your question on what will have value in the future, that is hard to say. However, vehicles hold their value for a long time. One reason is because they aren't going to be in production forever. Usually different variants are released after the first line of vehicles do well with sales. A lot of the older Star Wars, Power Rangers, and GI Joe vehicles have held their value. Especially if the vehicles are in great condition. look up greed and ego and you'll find a picture of Todd McFarlane's face for both! one figure is from wave 1 of the collector's edition and the other is from the latest wave at least 4 waves apart and it probably took someone at McFarlane toys wearing Todd McFarlane down to put more in the box to justify the price a little because Todd McFarlane is like a child you have to point things out subtly or he gets pissed off and clams up... trying to convince him not everyone likes snakes and sparklers like he does is a damn near impossible task, just watch an interview with him by someone that's super critical of his figures they do nothing but kiss his ass the whole time or they piss him off over nothing and he pouts like a child the rest of the interview!
@scottmcclary594 I definitely understand because I owned that wave one figure before I stopped collecting McFarlane figures. My first RU-vid video was about McFarlane and his price inconsistency. That's what pushed me away from collecting the figures. I couldn't see myself paying 20+ dollars for two different figures, and one figure has tons of accessories while another has none. You are literally paying more for less.

Rock solid info as usual Mr. Figures! First, I didn't quite pay full price for that storm 3-pack but I paid more than the Ollie's price and you are on point about Storm's neck AND Jubilee's head is way too big! One of my future vids will be rating all my Storms and it's gonna be difficult for any of them to finish below that one. 2nd, I've had the Black Knight / Sersi set for a minute now, I think I got it from Amazon for about 25 dollars or so, Ollies for the win on that one. 3rd, I'll trade you an Egghead for a comic Star Lord. Unpopular take... I didn't hate the Eternals movie.
@thediscountactionfiguredude Thanks for watching. I'm trying to cut down on the video time. I have got to work on giving information without being almost 20 minutes. You know a lot of people lose interest after 5 minutes or so. Those 3 packs had me hyped up. Then I got them and was disappointed. Honestly paying full price for figures that I became unhappy with is why I went into discount hunting. I'm going back out to the store this week and I'll see if I can find that Egghead for you. The Eternals movies wasn't too bad but since I read a lot of these comics, it's hard for me to not judge based on what I read. I expected more that's all.
Majority of these labs, Joe, TF, and Marvel are $200 maximum figure with vehicle. Hasbro sells $200 masterpieces and props that are twice as much at retail. I believe Hasbro is averse to making money, they want to hit quarterly low quantity high cost MOQ for shareholders and that's it; or they are inept, too stupid and ran by idiots. They could triple and quadruple their money because there are so many variant/repaints they are leaving money on the table for, the electronics are not needed. Imagine that giantman buck, most of that could be Clint/Goliath or Bill Foster. Hasbro is stupid, and I disagree when others say calling them out as a multi billion dollar company should be off the table, or it's to make rare stuff. Most of this stuff is not dreamlab level stuff, it's retail stuff.
Hasbro definitely leaves money on the table. I just don't understand why they do it. It makes no sense for a company to lose out on so much money. The Marvel, Transformers, and GI JOE Haslab projects consist of products that would easily sell out from their online store as well as in retail stores. Hasbro has no problem putting out garbage Marvel Legend BAF waves, but doesn't have the confidence that a large scale Sentinel will sell. I agree, that Giant-Man buck could be used for Titan (Imperial Shi'ar guard), Bill Foster, Goliath, Ant-Man, and many more characters with growth super powers.

From my Haslab rants you know I missed out on the other vehicles HISS, Dragonfly, Sentinel and the VAMP so when the pre-order opened for this one i spent the money for it and waited. I finally said just buy it and if you dont want it sell it. Thanks for watching man, you know I just try to share my hobbies. And I am very happy that I have met some pretty cool people in the action figure collector space.
Hasbro is a billion dollar company with what I imagine are a lot of smart people in their marketing dept, so my best guess, and that's all this is a guess, is that their research shows that people won't buy the expensive product at target BUT will more than likely fund a Haslab, then psychology sets in and those who didn't go for it get all upset that they didn't commit to the Haslab. I mean looking at the prices of that Giant Man, all those folks could've had that for an easy 199.99, for whatever reason didn't, and now are willing to fork over 500.00 for it? I don't get it, but that's all I have.
Yea, you have a lot of people that are willing to pay 3 times more than the original price because they missed out. I am not one of those people. I wish I did back some of those projects but I felt they were unnecessary. I'm definitely not paying double or triple the price no matter how much i like it. Like you said "Hasbro, just build the damn thing" LOL. I just couldn't imagine leaving so much money on the table. If I had something I knew people wanted I would crank it out bit by bit until I felt the demand going down. Weird that Hasbro doesn't think twice when putting out a crap BAF wave but have little confidence towards a vehicle or large figure every collector wants.
Agree with you on all the Batmans, flip side, with that many a few are going to peg warm straight to clearance just waiting to see which one, Reborn seems to be in the lead in my area
Good points, and to add, Marvel legends seems to be backing away from crowdfunds. There isn't one this year and the Dragonman they have is going to be a straight preorder.
Thanks, I just think that Haslabs are Hasbro's way of playing it super safe when producing toys. Its like they don't know what the market wants and are surprised when they get projects funded. Do they really believe in what they are selling? You literally have a market that has very limited products for the very same figures they produce. They produce worthless figures all the time but won't gamble on vehicles. Did they honestly think that the Galactus and Sentinel would not sell? However they didn't think twice before putting out that crap Eternals wave, Xmen villains 5 pack, Spiderman 5 pack, or the other worthless BAF waves. Hasbro making Dragonman also proves they could have given us giant sized figures like Titan, Giant Ant-Man, and Goliath without doing a crowd fund.
@@Figures_of_Action_Reviews Right. My memory was they were begged abd Simeon even submitted a petition for the sail barge and Hasbro did the crowd fund almost like a joke and it was clear they didn’t think it would fund and when it did they were shocked.

The Carnage we got as a two pack with the black suit Spiderman was decent. This Carnage is just ugly in my opinion. It looks whacky, the Mafex Carnage is also a better choice in my opinion.
I agree with what you're saying hasbro is making these projects but they don't make a lot of sense when most haslabs aren't even worth the price not to mention but yes hasbro is just throwing their money around without thinking about it logically As for haslabs in my opinion should be crazy ideas that would be wild to see like for marvel legends imagine them making a shield helicarier or avengers tower etc

Valaverse has been consistent in their toy line. I wasn't around for the first wave that apparently had problems but the figures I have are good. I just like collecting action figures that's all 🤣

Great review, cool BG as well. I'm not brand or line loyal either. Good product is good product. And the look of this vehicle is really solid. Multiple reviewers have called out the lack of the pivoting on the 50 cal but like you it's not a deal killer for me. It also would have been nice for the hood to open, like you said.
@Stygian360 hey thanks, the guy who reviewed his outside made it look so much cooler. Yea it's not perfect but what we got for the price I'm cool with it. Bigger than the HISS tank and VAMP minus the lights and sounds at the price of $185 I think it's a fair value. For it to be Valaverse first vehicle I think they did a good job. Let's see what they produce later on.
@craigcollins8212 I understand buying from cost perspective but if it's affordable I would rather pay for the better quality. Trust me I get it because that import price to Canada is crazy. I'm a reseller as well and people I have sold to in Canada hate that import fee they get charged.
Good review. So the 2 cons dont outweigh the pros? Im enjoying it. Got a stinger coming today and Vamp from BBTS. Most definitely love Joes from childhood. But I have room for Valaverse. Enjoy their figures with each purchase. Room for both in my life.
The Vanguard is not perfect, but for what we got for the price, I think it is a good deal. Two small cons that do not impact the overall performance of the vehicle is not a deal breaker. I want the Stinger and the VAMP now that I have the Vanguard. Valaverse Action Force and GI JOES can coexist with no problem. I will pick up the VAMP and Stinger the first chance I get. I refuse to have to buy them from secondary markets. I did not like the price of $100, I felt it should have been $80. Have fun collecting

I bought the scouter vegeta dragon stars and yeah it pretty bad but I dont think anyone can justify spending 200 or 150 dollars for 6 inches of abs plastic same with perfect cell so if you are going to buy a d star atleast get one of a really hard to get character
I don't have a problem with anyone buying those figures. You're right, if you want to buy cheaper figures cool, but its a definite gamble on the QC end. Now I buy $100 figures all the time, but they mainly Mafex, Mezco, SH Figuarts, and other imports. However, the quality is definitely much better. I buy Hasbro figures (Marvel Legends, Fortnite, GI JOE) all the time. However, when I want premium figures I save for them and buy them. Dragon Stars figures don't even have ab crunch so that is another no for me.
I got into collecting 6" scale figures a few years ago with the Marvel Legends and Star Wars Black Series. When I first saw Dragon Stars in Walgreens I wasn't originally interested because unlike those other figures you could get better figures from Japanese Imports. Eventually I caved when I saw Final Form Cooler for like twenty bucks. I got it out of the box and it's head came off. I couldn't get the head stay on. I looked online to see if this problem is common, the videos I found were tutorials in how to modify the figure to make it good. The S.H. Figuarts might be more expensive, but at least the thing isn't falling apart in your hand.
@Icthyologist As you can see in the video that's a common problem with entire line. Not just one figure in particular, but the entire line is a toss up of whether or not your figure is a "fall a part" figure.
@DavidHilton80 They destroyed this game. Now the try-hards are loving this struggle play. However the casual gamer doesn't have time for this and so they will move on. I mean most of us have gone on to other games. Besides we got Space Marine 2 about to come out. Black Myth Wukong comes out on the 20th as well. It was fun while it lasted. Too bad their lack of planning and content caused them to seek shady methods to keep players busy.
I feel the same way. I like the franchise (not the recent stuff so much) but thier action figures don't interest me. The ones I'm interested in are the battle droids and Mandalorians
Hold up.. i just gotta say Figuarts at $35 never have them blast effects… but ya dragon stars suck but atleast use those blast effects for the $35 figuarts lol
@lucasrezende226 I remember when I bought my Krillin he came with the Destructo Disc. But I may be mistaken. However you make a great case to buy Dragon Stars solely for the effects. Let's face it effects period cost money despite who makes them. Unless DS start making effects only for cheap that's the only way they will end up in my cart 🤣
