I tried removing the cam adjuster bolt, but it's very tight. Is that normal? It super tight, I'm unable to remove the bolt. Will it be fine to force it?
Could that be the reason why i hear a big thump when i step on the gas pedal hard it feels like the back slams to my wheel or something in that nature.
Thanks! Im about to try this myself thanks to your video. By theway, i have the warning in my car and in the porsche app about the filter. If i change it myself, will the warning go?
Not very long. Hard to gauge since I’m recording at the same time and that takes time away from the job itself. But I would say 1-2 hrs if you are being very careful and detailed.
Only one thing. No point having a torque wrench if you don't use it properly. If you hold it forward of the correct point on the handle you're not applying the correct torque.
I can tell you that service B from the dealership cost me $712-and that's with a $100 discount. Parts were $200 and change, but labor costs were over $400.
@@DriveTalkCars my mistake $24+ $85 shipping. Thanks for responding, I have a question. It says there is a rivet that holds it into place? How did you remove that? How do you reinstall it? I saw you using a socket wrench for the screws but I didn't see you use a rivet, or do you not need it.
@user-wf2rg5gl9h oh ok, yeah shipping can be expensive especially if coming from Europe directly. I originally thought it was held by a rivet, but turned out it was just a screw.
Did you use your old bolts for the valvecap and the frontcover ? What is the torque for the black bolts - handfit and 90° ? Did you also used the old diamondplate and the old bolt for the adjuster ?
