Not the same location and clearly colder weather in the 2nd run. Therefore with the cold air you had way better DA. This is not an accurate comparison. It appears you had more negative slope on the 2nd pass as well. There is no significant difference in 3.73 vs 4.10. 4.10 will get your rpm up out of the hole a little quicker which should help 60ft but it also gets you into 2nd gear sooner. Into a higher gear sooner. With 3.73 gears, hot weather and less downhill it took you 8.13 seconds to go from 60-93. With 30 degree air, more negative slope and 4.10s it took you 8.19 seconds 60-93.
Sorry but you didn’t right, first test you keep the throttle engaged until last transmission gear change at 15….second, now, the second test you did you take out the foot of the throttle at 14,….🤷🏻♂️ remember high gear ratio get more torque at the start & lower power at the end, lower gear ratio less torque at start & more power at the end. (ATENTION) Am just talking about streets & drag racing not off road, off road need high gear ratios
Man 500 bucks is dirt cheap for that. I'm in the middle of swapping my 3.73s to 4.10s right now, since I had a bad pinion bearing anyway. I would've paid $500 in a heartbeat for someone to do it including the parts haha
I did this swap to my 06 Sierra and it threw a vacuum leak code. I swapped out the MAP sensor and it went away for a while and came back. Did you run into this issue? I tried the break parts cleaner around the gasket area and nothing. Retighten every bolt, checked the lines.
Little late but I was curious if you could give your wheel specs as is in this video? Trying to decide if my current wheel setup will look good with the quadrasteer bed.
They were 22x9 +24mm offset, with 285/45R22 Michelins. I ended up adding 3in wheel spacers in the rear (different video), it fit perfectly flush with the quadrasteer bed. Looked perfect from the front or sides, but from the back the tires were so far apart, looked like a dog taking a poop haha. Since then I went with some Legend 6, Forged drag wheels, custom made by 3030autosport. 18x10 in the front with 275/45R18 M/Ts. And 18x12 in the rear with 345/35R18 M/Ts. For AWD.
@@TheKingCoopa awesome appreciate the quick response, I'll have to check that video out and do some measurements. On my SS I have Momo 22x10 with 305/45R22. Not going street/drag look but also not trying to make it an offroad or bro truck either lol. The best way I can describe the look I want is like street/rally? If it looks really dumb from behind I might skip the quadrasteer bed as my tire size is unlikely to change.
Jesus what a square lmao I have nitrous but I don’t want to use it , does a 3 second pull and says “wooow that was fun !!!” Should’ve had a square body for your squats a** My fault for wasting my time with this video Drive it not break it Maybe track it ? Lmao get out the game homie
You speed up the runs ? You dont test run your mods like your locker install video , Grow a pair bud Probably where a helmet each time you where a helmet don’t ya You let your neighbors know your turning on your truck as well don’t ya ? Pu****y
What was the DA during those passes? It looked like summer time in the first video w/3.73 and winter time & 30 degrees with 4.10s. That will def skew your results. Every 1000 feet of DA change is .10-.13 sec in time difference. A 3000' difference in DA is close to 4 tenths
No worries my guy, you’re making a lot more power than what you think. I bet you’re making close to 600 at the crank easy. You’re losing at least 25% of your power just in your drive train .
It should have a faster 0-60 time though right? With it in awd? I know every one of the new gm trucks whether it be 5.3 or 6.2, when it’s in 4wd it cuts at least a few tenths, if not a whole second of the 0-60 time.
First off thank you for the content. Been a fan of your build and was wondering when you’d get this one finished. I have some questions though. Is the 4.10 holding it back? What’s the compression ratio? Is your tune 100% there? What fuel are you using? I think theres alot of hidden power in that motor. I hope you can find someone who can squeeze all the N/A juice out of it before you think of boosting it. P.S go supercharger!
I went with 1 3/4. Tuner told me to go with that size. 5.3 l33 NA, ball park to be a 450-470 hp motor. He said I could go with the 1 7/8 but 1 3/4 would be better.
Hey, not sure what a warr TB is. If its drive by wire, and you want the 90mm TB you will need the Xlink. And it has to be an Acdelco or GM TB, you need to make sure its for a gold or silverblade. Or it can have issues and won't work. If its drive by cable, you don't need the xlink.
@@rubenmonroy4841 very nice. Just look of there is one fuel line, you don't. If there are two fuel lines going to the fuel rail, you will need the filter
I would recommend it as a toy, but for a stock daily driver like mine... no 😅. I treat this car really nice, and it still breaks down all the time. But I think I finally fixed all the common issues with it, so I should be good for a really long time. It sounds bad, but every car has known issues. The previous own didnt take car of this car, and I got all the repercussions from it haha. I would still recommend getting one. They are really cool cars
cool video! still trying to figure out my Yukon and what kind of mods to do to it. So far its only tuned on low mix of e85. I want to do headers, but then im stuck thinking if i wanna do some NA or save up for SC.
Oh nice, thats awesome! If this is your daily driver, I'd just recommend an exhaust and leave it alone. Keep it reliable. If its a toy, then I would plan for the SC. Id buy all your parts, with the goal of a SC. NA is really fun, but the yukon is heavy and NA won't be enough power, In my opinion. My truck now makes 580whp on nitrous, and i have the itch, its not enough lol.
@@TheKingCoopa yeah makes sense. Dont want to do much to it right now. I just want headers and perhaps the LT2 intake manifold, but that may be overkill. Then tune on E85. Nitrous sounds so fun
@@TheKingCoopa what’s the worst that can happen if you don’t I need a lot of back pressure regardless especially while downshifting it really pops. Sounds like un burnt fuel.
Hahaha thanks! I'll have to do an update video, I've used the flames like 80 or 90 times over the last 2 years, its been great. But this weekend I went out for a night photoshoot, drove the car for a few hours with some hard pulls and multiple flames. Well I turned my mufflers into balloons 😅😅 they must have been super hot, and couldn't handle the percussion. They are creased and rippled at the edges, and it tweaked the exhaust tips lol.
