I love that in this one, Elliott doesn’t back down from the weird interrogation stuff, and you can tell he’s really speaking honestly. It reminds me of Stephen Malkmus in interviews- he doesn’t stand bullshit at all, and just speaks with true honesty, but not aggressively.
By halfway or so you could tell that he really didnt want to be there. He wouldn't finish songs because they were so far off what he was actually feeling. 've been that kiund of drunk many times. Like what's the point type deal... The performance of speed trials at the end was great but damn that was some anger and frustration. Could tell he liked the way the sound came out with him overdoing it singing. Really interesting performance. I've never heard him in such a mood. I could never fully pin down the way he died nd his personality. I got the gist of course. But now I think I get it properly. Thanks for posting this man! Liked n sub'd
I was there! One of my favorite shows! Probably the best show that I have ever been to of Elliott’s. I got to see him five times. I would have went to see him more often but I didn’t know that he was going to be leaving so soon.
Love that when he covered Beatles songs he normally did songs with either Lennon or Harrison lead vocals. With the occasional for no one or Blackbird by McCartney
This is so superior to the Basement mix it makes me disappointed in what could have been. It has White Album overtones of unrefined creativity with grunge instrumentals. The Basement mix sounds thin and dissatisfying by comparison.
Tengo todos sus discos de estudio , también new moon y varios 7" de la primera época . Está increíble canción nunca fue editada en ningún lugar ? , no me refiero a esta versión en particular ..
it's just that i've been losing so long ... please do not confront me with my failures, I had not forgotten them ❤️🩹 one of my favorite lyrics when I was going through a hard time. love to hear this cover
