Super fun trail though, just need to make sure you don't lose the white dots. Seemed like you could easily ride off something you really didn't want to.
Realy good video! I hope you like your 500 as much as I like mine. If you would put a Rekluse in that thing, it just becomes a mountain goat! Really makes that thing fun in the tech stuf.
Biffed it in the same spot once a long time ago. Actually a few feet earlier, just as you make the super right right hand turn (the one you overshot). Come to find out, the tires have a finite level of traction when on a side hill, no matter how grippy they seem. 😂 I slid and fell right in front of some beautiful ladies on mountain bikes. Of course. 😮
@@flatspotproductions some years ago I tried out my brand new GoPro camera on a solo Slickrock Trail ride when a camshaft bearing on my old KTM520 let go. I had it on the video as the noise engine lasted long enough to get me back to the parking lot. Fun memories. I may just have to take a day off and ride it this coming Tuesday - calling for 57 degrees. 😉
I had trouble at the same place. Didn't lay it down but should have. Was glad to get out of there alive. It was nice to relive the adventure but don't think I would do that one again. Maybe over my skill level. I was on a 500exc. Thanks for the video.
I really loved riding this trail. The traction was amazing and the bike had no issues. It really helped gain more confidence. This was the second day I rode this, the first day is the other video and I did better, but I think that is because I had no idea what I was getting myself into and I was bit more careful.
Thanks for taking us along! Stunning time of day and year, and this seems like the first vid that followed the bikes/cycles trail all the way around. Nice!
Hands down the best motorcycle video on the Slickrock Trail! Shows exactly what it is like!!! Especially that famous steep switchback. Going up it I couldn't make the turn as someone tipped over in front of me so I had to just bomb straight up to the top without making the turn. lol. Great video man! thanks again!
I like how you highlight the route on the map in the end. February 20th doesn’t look crowded. Is this what Hollister is like on a Sunday? Not too many people?
There were a lot of riders, but I think Hollister is so big that you only see them at the parking lots which was full and at spots like the Windmill where everyone takes a break. But on the trails I really didn't see anyone. I was expecting all sorts of 2 strokes passing me on the trails, that's why I have the mirror on, but as you can see in the vid, no one.
Pretty dope video - I've never ridden here, but I might this weekend ;) The Hero 9 looks great - my Hero 3 takes such crap video, I've started just using my iPhone, but it's a less than ideal setup mounted on my helmet.
Thanks, the GoPro stabilization is really good. Smooths everything out, perhaps a bit too much. Hollister Hills is really a great place to ride. Hike and Bike has a lot more of the trails on his channel. They really help to let you know what you are getting yourself into on some of the single track.
@@flatspotproductions yes the view from the chin looks best, not sure what kind of mount you are using but I highly recommend the Dango gripper mount, it attaches to the chin of helmet and is way easier/better than anything else I have tried
That looks dope! I just started dirtbiking again for the first time in around two years and I'm liking it! I want to go to Metcalf again, I haven't been there in exactly three years.
Dude you fuckin ragged the ass off that kart! I would love a kz, look soooo much fun to drive! For now, ill have to stick to my aixro xr50. Still alot of fun to drive, just no gears. Good race though dude! Fastest lap?
