As a creative and artistic person I dont get these kind of spots at all. Very easy to access and no creativity needed to hit photo of that shelf. Instagram is full of shots of that specific shelf. I do not bother to raise my camera to that one. I have seen tons of these in Finland so I genuinly dont get this. Nothing personal or nothing wrong with your video. Just sharing my thought about this shelf.

@anttitirri5818 Heya, thanks for watching the video and that's a perfectly fair comment. Personally I like going to this spot to see the differences in conditions from the other times I have been there, I have an idea of the perfect image from this spot and still waiting to get it. Also, there are some mornings that I want to go out amd shoot but just not feeling creative or have the time to travel so it's a safety spot where I can just enjoy being out

@@paulcooperphotography well said. Its always good to have those reasons to grab your camera gears knowing you have one beautiful scene to capture. I think we all do that sometimes. Water is also an element that somehow always reflects differently depending on day, weather and time. I also love that.

i notice it six months since you posted this video but have you solved the vignetting issue with the Kase filters, i did notice that the step-up ring your using is quite a bit larger/thicker than the one I am using so wondering if that is the issue, i have not tried mine yet with my 16-35 lens
@paulcooperphotography
@paulcooperphotography 25 дней назад
@brentconner8239 Hi, thanks for the comment, I have yet to check it but I do think it's related to the step up ring. I wasn't expecting there to be an issue given its an 82mm filter on a 77mm lens filter but it makes sense. I will be going on a trip soon and looking for a new step up ring andn will post a video of the results
@brentconner8239

@@paulcooperphotography thanks for the reply, when I purchased my Kase filters I also picked up the Kase step-up ring I did notice that they also sell a magnetic version of the step-up ring so this may not require the 82mm magnetic adapter
@paulcooperphotography

@brentconner8239 Thanks will have a look, I did think that Kase would sell something that might work better.

@@paulcooperphotography hi Paul I came across this item, I currently live in Canada so Kase canada has on on order for me, thought this might help you kasefilters.com/product/kase-revolution-inlaid-step-up-ring-kit-77-82mm

I would say it's the adapter you use. It's too thick. Kase' magnetic step rings would be a better choice.

Hi Paul, I would be very grateful for some advice please. I'm in the process of publish my first cookbook, and I have obtained printed proof copies of my book from 5 different professional book printing companies, including Amazon KDP. The problem is, whilst the text comes out great, the photos don't look anywhere near as good as they do on my computer screen i.e., the pictures on my computer screen are very sharp and vivid, but the printed pictures in the books are shockingly poor as they're flat, dull, low definition, and nowhere near as sharp, and this is with all 5 printed copies from 5 different professional book printing companies. The pictures were taken with a quality DSLR camera, and as I said, the pictures are of very high clarity and definition, but the printed pictures don't look good - can you advise why that might be? Thanks.
@paulcooperphotography
@paulcooperphotography 2 месяца назад
Hi, first of all congratulations on your cookbook, that's an amazing achievement. Secondly, if you are not happy with the proofs then contact the publishers and let them know your concerns before printing, they may be able to offer more advice. It could be that the images were not high enough resolution or it could be that they are folding proofs which can sometimes be lower quality but only the printer would know. If they are final proofs then I would not continue until you are 100% happy with them

Bit late to the party but just purchased a Canon printer along with the Print & Layout software, use A3+, A3 & A4 papers but cannot figure out how to make the borders round the images 1 inch and 1/2 inch with this software, any help please. Thank You.
@paulcooperphotography
@paulcooperphotography 2 месяца назад
Hey Russell, thanks for commenting, that's a really good question. Have you thought about using Lightroom for the printing instead of the Canon software, although that might not give you the right options for the right paper profiles. Alternatively you could create a custom paper size in the Canon software (there is the option in the Paper Size dropdown) and you could set it to your paper size less the margin you are after. Let me know how you go
@russellwebb3672
@russellwebb3672 2 месяца назад
@@paulcooperphotography Thank you for the reply I will give it a go, but what I cannot figure out from most videos is why set it all up in Lightroom or Photoshop then jump to another application to push a print button. Thanks again.😵
@paulcooperphotography

@russellwebb3672 I don't do a lot in Lightroom but I have seen people do it, I think LR has better layout capability for printing

Yeah this one takes quite a few but the bigger ones take even more, I think it also helps with different types of paper

What did Kase have to say 😮I have 3 step up rings and they can’t fit in the case so I think case needs to be bigger unless I’m doing something daft

Kase never got back to me, I only have the one step up ring which does fit in the case but it's still pretty tight. I think you are right in that they need to have a slightly bigger case

I think it’s the 77 to 82 mm adapter ring that’s causing the problem at the wide end of the zoom. If you used 77 mm filters without the adapter you probably wouldn’t have a problem.

Interesting to see how they go on an 82mm diameter lens without the need for a step up ring. The Lees seem to have quite a blue cast compared to the Kase.

That was a good summary for the setup of the Star Tracker - thanks for covering that in your video. This may sound silly, but I can't mentally picture what the foreground of a startracked image would be like -_- is it motion blurred? 🤯
@paulcooperphotography
@paulcooperphotography 7 месяцев назад
Thanks heaps Paul. Yes, it's pretty much motion blurred so you have to take a shot of the foreground without the tracker turned on then blend it with the tracked shot. The tracked shot is basically just for the sky

Very comprehensive coverage mate. The DJI LUT did a great job of colour grading - so far I've just been using the standard colour setting because I'm lazy 😂. Big difference between the audio from the device mics and the wireless mic. Interestingly, I thought the wireless mic sounded better on the TV but not on the phone.
