The protective film on the lugs is an essential element to prevent marring while compressing spring bars. I wish jewelery stores would use it when they replace wrist bands. I salute you for showing it's use.
In My twenties I saw a Delma 21 jewels, fall in love with it, saved for a year, one nigth as I was going back to My car a guy stole it from me. Now I don't have the money to Buy a new one. Wish I didn't wear that watch that nigth.
The technical guide for this movement specifies the accuracy gain/loss: +45 and -35 seconds/day. In real life 10-15 s/d. With some effort better values. Thank you so much for watching and the good question ☺️ I appreciate that.
I'm thinking of adding a barrel arbor holder to my tool arsenal. I like yours. What size is it because I can see they sell them in different sizes. Do you have one or several in different sizes?
I always consider the original design a bit too utilitarian, where after these mods it's' both usable and stunning to look at. Clearly a missed opportunity by Seiko, but then again this is typical Japanese thinking - usablitiy comes first no matter what.
I have a Black SEIKO Automatic but the difference is that “there is no X under the Brand and no PADI under it” I bought it before Smartphones came out, because I wore it a few times it is now stiff and no longer works. I heard that if you don’t wear an Automatic Watch regularly it will have the condition I just mentioned is that true ? This Watch is Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
When lubricants get dry the watch will be stiff and maybe stop working. Wear the watch for one hour or so than usually it start again. Thank you for watching
this is masterwork, this is not something for hobby work, firstly you have to study watchmaking, secondly you have to have all the tools and thirdly you have to be a good technician, and that is what this gentleman is
Dude do you not have a sonic machine? …oh I see you have a new looking 4 step cleaning machine. Would that not have taken most of not all the rust off those pieces?
The screw from the mainspring arbor looks that in the past was in the service more than once. And you are right about the case that where opened not properly sometimes.
For sure… the watch has a lot of services in past some of them wasn’t appropriate. Gold is soft material. Working with steel watch opener needs a lot of care. Thank you for watching ☺️
That’s the beauty of watchmaking to deal with such tiny parts. All together let a movement working and showing the time accurately. Thank you for watching
