I am an outdoors guy who really loves to bow hunt. I am a D.I.Y guy and all my hunts will most likely be filmed by myself. I will be using a Sony Action Cam to film my hunts. I also hope to show some of the gear I use and review it. I do not have a large budget for hunting gear so I will try to explain my gear on a purchase decision as well. Meaning why I bought this or that and how I justify the cost of it. I want to share with you my experiences in the woods and also l would love to learn from others as well. I will also use this to upload videos of my family and events.
so you tighten the string on the cam that was hitting first? I have the same issue but logically looking at it it would seem I have to tighten the one hitting second to make them line up
I just picked one up today at Cabela's for $299 on sale! I got it to shoot with my son and maybe do some hunting this fall. I really like it. It shoots great right outa the box, I picked up a release, arrows, and tips and was ready to go in less than 30 mins. It is alot of fun to shoot. I may do a video on it soon too.
hey patrick, it's been over a year since you posted this review but it still holds true! can't wait for mine to come in. ordered it from dicks sporting goods too! thanks for the review man.
great video man I am a big rifle hunter I have an old compound bow I use to mess around with just bought this bow and am very excited for this archery season!! Again thanks for the great video
I went to try out this bow at my local dicks it was a new store last year and i asked the guy behind the counter for a left hand bow since im left handed he told me they dont carry left hand equipment and i should just shoot right handed totaly rude and ill never go back in that store
It depends on your eye dominance. I'm left handed and I shoot right handed, because I'm right eye dominant. I wouldn't be too quick to take something like that too personal.
Thanks for the review! This was posted over a year ago... How do you like the bow now? Any issues after having it a while? They are on sale now at Amazon for $279! I am thinking I can't go wrong with my first decent hunting bow at that price. Thanks again!
Great review man. You pretty much gave me a good idea of what I can expect from the bow. I'm upgrading from an old browning summit and wondering if its as forgiving as the classic 90s style bows..
Thank you Patrick, I'm 52 years of age and will be getting my first Bow soon, I'm the kinda person that researches finds what he likes then researches more. This bow really intrigues me, I have a feeling this will be my first Bow and maybe my last one. Everything I find on this Diamond is good. Again great Review . Thank you
It's an Octane quiver. I started out this video being dismayed by the poor audio, but I'm glad I held out. This ended up being the most informative review (of this bow) on RU-vid. Thumbs up.
Get you some NAP quikfletch Quikspin vanes. They make them in 2in and 4in I personally shoot the 2in vanes, I love them no glue or jig needed. They really help with accuracy $25 for 6 not to pricy but if they help they are more than worth it. Good luck to you
Thank you so much for this in-depth review of the Diamond Infinite Edge! I have been saving for a few months now and finally have enough now! Was planning on buying the bow tomorrow, and you have locked in my decision! I am now definitely buying this bow! It seems like a very good beginner bow for me (I have a cheap kid bow already that I'm outgrowing due to the fact that I am 14 and growing fast!) and it seems extremely adjustable. Will go and buy it tomorrow and tell you what I think! Thanks again! -Shea
Shea, this bow will fit you perfectly no matter what your needs are. The weight and length adjustment will grow with you literally forever. I am 6'2 and pull back around 65lbs and am extremely happy with it. I wish you the best of luck with it and if you need any help just let me know.
Thank you for reading my comment and responding! I think that it is very cool when youtubers actually respond to their viewers! I have not gotten my bow yet because they were out of stock of left handed bows (This specific one, not all LH bows) so we had to order it for in-store pick up. Excited to shoot it tonight!
Ahsfh56 No problem for replying, I need to check my stuff more often to reply more. I hope you got it shooting well, if not its not to hard to fix. Do a google a search for "walk back bow tuning" simple and effect method to tune it in. For beginning shooters I always think to start low in weight, get your muscles trained then start slowly cranking it up. If you plan to hunt with it just meet your state's minimum draw weight and your set. Get a good cut on contact broad head like the magnus stinger and you are ready. The great hunter "Ted Nugent" only pulls back 48 pounds (or so I read) Good luck to you!
Bought this bow Sunday and picked it up Tuesday.its a great bow for hunting and for just practicing i am 15 and normally draw 62 pounds but can draw this bow at 70 because it is so smooth. it has a little bit of a spongy back wall when not tuned but once i buy custom strings and have it draw stop tuned, the back wall will be solid. The bow feels fast, vibration free and the most quiet bow i have ever shot.it is very accurate even with the cheap accessories that it comes with.i would recommend this to any budget bow hunter or beginners.
Hey Tim, congrats on your new bow purchase! I am sure you will be very happy with this bow for a long time. When you do get your strings please tell me what kind you got and how you like them. I plan on a string purchase after this hunting season. It is great out of the box but with some shooting don't be surprised if you start grouping a tad lower over time, the stock rest wears out a little quick with a lot of shooting but it will still be super accurate. You can buy the replacement brush cheap or move to a different rest. I hope to hear more from you Tim about your adventures with your bow.
been saving up for this bow for my first year of bowhunting and am almost ready to buy one. Thank you for the review you convinced me that this is the bow to go with.
Hey Tim, yes its probably the best starter bow for the money, only thing its also great for long time user. I honestly plan to use this bow for a very very long time and just change strings when they wear out, good shooting Tim!!
Hey Tim unless you are very skilled with a bow already I recommend waiting a full year before you hunt with this and practicing non-stop you would not want to shoot something and not kill it I have owned mined for two years and still have not gone hunting with it because I want to be 100% positive I will kill something and not injure it.
Was looking to get one of these & after your review think i will.Looked at many but this seems a great beginner bow as i am new to the game plus not needing a bow press is an advantage.THANK YOU.
Hey Pete, I really think this is the best bow for the money on the market. Don't spend more than 349 for a new one, most places have them at that price. If you need any help or have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Live in the uk my friend so been looking & found a deal for £180+£25 shipping & thats from diamond store. What would you say the top disstance you can reach fireing the arrow??
Pete Sinton Hey Pete, sorry about the long reply I didn't get an automated message. It will shoot accurately farther than my skills will allow. The bow is very accurate when setup and tuned and the rest depends on your skills to hold and release steady and cosistently. Good luck sir!!
@Mindrover, yeah I agree with that. I'm hoping I can use the "infinity" setting and try some bow fishing this year. I've never done that before. I plan to keep this one around the house for a long time.
superXgaming on this vid it was the cheapest truglo drop away rest. I have since moved back to a whisker biscuit because it is a better containment rest. Also there is no chance for a line to break like the fall away rest do. Thanks for your question Super
@Mindrover, I did not even know that, this really does make this bow that much more awesome. Now I can really set it up quickly for my wife or daughter. Thanks for the comments and input.
Good review Patrick. Just a side note (as an owner) No bow press is required for any change. The extended limb bolts allow you to slack the limbs until the string is loose, which allows A,B,C range changes and any poundage in each range :). Bonus. That bow will serve you well :)
Good Vid Man, I have the same bow and I think the youth part comes from the adjust-ability of the bow, 310fps at 70# is not for the youths. I use this bow for all kinds of stuff and would not change it for anything. It's a fine bow. Subbed :)
