Hi Marco, what a great video you’ve made. After seeing I’d love to get in contact with you. Hopefully you’re open for a conversation. Warm regards, Rob
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I understand that feeling alone can be incredibly challenging, especially over a long period. It's important to remember that every hero's journey is unique, and facing frustration and isolation can be part of it. In today's society, many people experience isolation due to social fragmentation. This doesn't diminish your experience but places it in a broader context. Seeking deeper connections, whether through community groups or hobbies, can sometimes help bridge the gap. What society is craving is a deep spiritual connection among neighbors and community grounding. Exploring spiritual or personal growth paths might provide a sense of connection and understanding that goes beyond the rational. You're not alone in feeling this way, and there are ways to find meaningful connections even in challenging times.
I think the reason to so little views might be the consistency and length of your uploads. You have such a quality content, but it's too long for most people. I'm not talking about this video, but the hero's journey is a big, long masterpiece. Why don't just create hundreds of relevant shorts out of it?
Holy shit, this is masterpiece! I wonder why you have so little subs while putting such quality content. I don't hope it, but I guess such artists become more valuable after their death 😂
The best on the subject. This video along with some of the more academic ones is all an aspiring writer needs (assuming creativity, talent and practice).
I was reading a bunch of books at the time with the fancy name of neuroscience and I can’t recall where I got it from. You can dismiss this now. Today I agree more with Nassim Taleb than I do with academics.
Well done! Thank-you for making this video about Campbell's work and adding visual examples to make those important connections in modern day storytelling.
Thank you for the kind words. Keep in mind that storytelling is inherently not modern. Modernity is all about top-down planning and deconstructing storytelling itself. 😉. Moderns don’t believe in plot, they think it can be a straight arrow with no rough edges. Storytelling and fractals go hand in hand.
This is amazing! I watched it over and over and see how far I’ve come… it’s an exciting but often uncomfortable experience. I happily making it through…this video has some cheat codes…. Surrender to the resistance…. Don’t be afraid, don’t doubt, have faith and believe. My tips, don’t feed your senses with things that are not beneficial to your journey which is of the old world (social media, emails, texts, auto dial phone marketing, horrible tv shows, secular music, politics and news reels) do lots of shadow work, therapy can be a total waste of money because they are not supposed to give advice anymore…you may as well RU-vid yourself to life and truth…the Bible tells me the rules and codes and cautions of this life. Then the separation…. My family are stuck in a cult, my efforts are causing separation… I’m having to move on to something….everything that I used to do doesn’t work or I’ve found it goes against the new rules in the Bible so it’s tricky moving forward…. This new world is so unreal… what used to be easy has been made the most difficult by society demands on its population… I’m unwilling to be in unhealthy situations to provide for myself and lots of my options are toxic…. I’ve been given a spiritual gift in April that I have been too busy trying to relax to open it, just a few days ago I fully discovered it then looked back at my test scores to join a church and it said I was a shepherd…. After I’ve been trying to save my family the cult… it makes sense now why I’m willing to suffer to save but I’ve come to the knowledge but all who are chosen were chosen before they enter the womb- which means I may be wasting my time casting my pearls to swine… no one seems to want the truth even though the lie has never worked for them. The mentors can be hard to find depending upon your own intelligence or intellect… I had a good mentor then surpassed her level of knowledge and she had me teaching her mentees, I’m looking for another mentor and can’t find one. I signed up to mix with like minded ppl to find my tribe… most interactions are on zoom when I need face to face interactions to use my new skill sets… it’s urgent, it’s a lot at once, it feels fast but looks slow. Crazy Daisy 😂 I’m moving forward… I wish you all well on your journeys.

I watched this 3 times in a row and felt that I absorbed more from it than the whole Bill Moyers Joseph Campbell series, the Christopher Vogel book, and the John Truby book, which I absorbed over many years. This is because of the illustrations and succinctness of the key stages in the hero's journey are illustrated by ... my favorite movies of all time. Truly this is a profound service for storytellers, psychologists, and all human beings. Thank you Mr. Aslan. This is an example of extraordinary synthesis and good work. Simplification of complexity with such eloquence and illustration is an act of genius and philanthropy. Thank you. 🙏
OMG, THIS IS A BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BREAKDOWN. I was captured and mesmerised by how creatively it has been put together. The energy and impact left me crying. THANK YOU 💕
Thank you for the video. I read the Hero's journey once but your video with direct examples made it clearer. Is there a chance you have a list of the movies shown as examples?
