Yes I think you could xc racing with this bike. But I don't know for sure how this bike would handle it. So I would ask someone who works at Trek to see what they think.
Your right! Thanks for correcting me there! On the Trek website they said the tires where Maxxis Ardents, but they actually now sell them with Bontrager Elites. So I'm guess they also changed the brakes from Tektro to Shimano. They just haven't updated their web I guess. Ride safe man!
Great beginners bike for light trails! Lovin it. Got it last month, been riding it since. Day and night different than my Walmart bike. Upgraded pedals and put in dropper seat and she’s performed gooood!!
Nice! Yeah, this bike is awesome! Yeah i used to own a good will bike and a 2021 Trek Marlin 4 and this bike just makes a big difference when climbing hills, doing jumps, riding trails and just the overall riding experience that it gives. Yeah, I'm going to upgrade the pedals and I do wanna try getting a dropper post as well, and maybe even an air fork upgrade.
